I loved the way they said, "And then there was the war with Denmark." It was fantastically out of left field, said in such a deliciously matter of fact way.
Nice to see both Tesco stores in Carlisle being highlighted in this video. I never trusted those pesky stores. Who knew that that would be where it all began?
THE GREATEST thing to come out of time trumpet, this is in my top 10 favourite clips of all time. Whoever thought of this was a sheer genius, its so funny I have no need to make a joke in this comment.
The funny part is that there´s no british supermarkeds in Denmark, but the danish supermarkedbrand NETTO has 175 stores in the UK...and more to come :)
OMFG this was just so brilliant! it made me laugh from the very frist second! xD Im a dane, and i have an english friend that work at Tescos.. It was amazing! the helicopters coming in over CPH dropping down tesco-tranformers! Tripods crushing The Little Mermaid lol :D (sad for her, but f'cking brillliant made! And then ofc the total disaster in the end.. after the 5 hour long war of Tesco VS the Vikings. LOL I think im gonna watch it again! xD wee!
I have to admit I an pretty annoyed - not with tesco but with all those people who think Tesco is becoming too big. Tesco is a rare BRITISH success stroy - so why do we disliek it? Lets not forget Asda is owned by Walmart and that has a monopoly in America - we therfore need Tesco to stand up against Asda and Walmart!
I had the misfortune of going to a Tesco near Watford the other day and it was more like an airport than a shop: soulless, full of zombies who've watched too much ITV, and shitty products that nobody really needs. The car park was big enough to see from space, and must've covered enough green space to endanger several species. Strangely, the staff were friendlier than the other customers. I hate Tesco.
this video is awesome lol i hate tescos im on fuckin bail for robbin a tescos cafe chair wen they wudnt serve me cus i was 2 pissed, n went bak 2 days later wasted agen n shat in th doorway :P
kur ben hah oon the last two are fast and are often sounding like ou from house. i guess the original is correct in the land of typing errors and lack of an oe and poor attempt at phoeneticisation its probably correct. its a word that stems with german, i don't know why the danish don't like the ah sound, since its in the danish word. but i guess anglicised 'correct' place names are mostly worng anyway... whoever starting pronouncing 'the azores' as the english do is just ridiculous.
@MegaKapser sounds like you feel sorry for yourself, take a look around... denmark isnt exactly a bad place compared to the rest of the world, war in the middle east their people are fleeing from their country and to where? to countries like denmark cus it's a better place, what about africa, with the hunger and seard for clean water is what they do all day, there are places where a government doesnt exist, stop thinking about yourself cus you are living like a king compared to everyone else....
nope, no flaming, but you have to look at the fact that normal people are not awarded the title 'His Excellency', I would love to have my first 100,000,000dkk tax of each year paid for by the government as a gesture of goodwill. the year before last the danske supermarket and maerske shipping paid absolutly no tax at all. This was a year that I brought a new car, so I prolly covered their tax bill for them ;-)
actually tesco coming to denmark might not be such a bad thing. the danske supermarket owns the 3 biggest players and it might inject some competition into the market. i am kinda fed up with looking through the reklamer every week to see whether coke is 25 dkk or 9 for example. bilka, netto and fotex run a monopoly and it is not good for the people. I'm english and have lived in denmark for 4 years, so i have a reasonable idea.
dont got me wrong,i dont hate Denmark,i actually pretty much love it but nowadays totally changed a lot.i know cause im spending my second year here.during two years i noticed two things, first:the fact that Denmark is kinda "sinking" is because of the too much foreigner.Denmark not able to take that many people.the other, because of the "strangers" danish people is getting closed.when i`m arrived everyone were really friendly.maybe this is the third problem. Denmark is too tolerant.
your looking in the wrong direction butty ! I'll be showing them a good landing place just north of Tenby so that we can finish off what us Celts n Vikings started in 878 ad ( In 878 AD the Britons of Wales unified with the Vikings of Denmark to destroy an Anglo-Saxon army of Mercians. ) but this time were gonna help you English out from under the yolk of Tescos by turning them into Bilka shops ( LOL )
@catatonicable they say the Devil has the best music. we can now see why - he buys it cheaply from Tesco stores and downloads it cheaper from Tesco online.... (actually, i don't know if you can download music from tescos but its only a matter of months untill...)
By "regular person" i meant, persons besides the government, and mærsk mckinney møller is a normal person. He just happens to own a lot of different business... anyway, i didnt misunderstood your first post... have about in school, anyway leave it, dont want to start a flame war.
...that means, that business and other companies, are not run by the government, but by regular people, so that different companies and business have competition between each other and that means that you want to do something with your life, pupils are often more concentrated.

LOL, that is so funny. I'm from Denmark, but live in Thailand, where I would say that tesco will start there world domination from... Here you almost have as many tesco express as 7-11, even in the most remote part of the country you can find an tesco express. But funny movie :)
In what world is "ko-bem-hah-oon" correct? Technically it's probably alright to pronounce it in the German way as in this video, but all the Copenhageners I know prefer the not-German version. Of course, the native pronounciation would be even better.
"What they want is to rape and pillage, to set fire to long ships"... Well... :-) By the way, I though only Americans were uninformed enough to say CopenhAAAAgen. Copen"hay"gen, please... The other thing is German, not English nor Danish.
Hahah i'm from Denmark and i laughed xD Don't know why i should get upset about it, it's jus some animation xD And hallo, i was Copenhagen.. Now Aarhus can be our capital ;) Personaly i would like that xD Huh, sorry.. But i kinda thought it was funny xD
Great Video guys! Seems you Brits speak of and treat TESCO the same way the liberals here in America speak of and treat WAL-MART. Do you not see the good things in commerce and a free society? People wouldnt shop there if they didnt like it.
The users who made the two top rated comments are clearly clones of the same person.... probably voted themselves up! Denmark is AMAZING!!!! Copenhagen is a really laid-back and fun place to be! Like this if you agree ♥
Now why does everybody always hurt the statue of the litte mermaid, what did it ever do to anybody, very funny though. Don't know where my loyalties lie, I'm Danish but I do most of my shopping at TESCO lol.
Not to rain on your parade, but if you look at the danish international history, the proudly states that Denmark has been founded on year of wars where we lost them all and most of our land has been given to other nations.
What the fuck are you babbling about? Like everywhere else in Europe we're descended from a number of a different European tribes, the most recent contributor being the Danes and later Normans. We have black haired people, also.
@radicalsystems And they'll march in the streets, red and blue armbands, giant banners and a parade of shopping trollies, chanting: 'It is time for Empire! 'Other supermarket chains we must exterminate!'
Let's all go to Tescos' were Jordan gets her best clothes la la laa la, la la laa la la Childish 70's playground chant. or Let's all go to Oxfam were barry get's his socks...fram, almost.
I love this video! It seems some people can't take a joke tho! haha. And why is everyone going on about Netto!!! Make a Netto version invading the UK (but make it funny) then we're even :P
Lol, this is fu**ing good. "What they want is to rape and pillage and set fire to longships" :D A very good description of a common Dane, I admit. Guilty with the whole longship thing myself.
this is actually happeneing right now. theres a turf war with the big 4. there was a BBC panorma about it. a new tesco extra is opening across the road from my work which is unnessecary.
DAMN YOU TESCOOOOOOO stupidest comment ever but i can see tesco literally ruling the shoppin world. if they wanna build tripods i say go for it 'we control every aspect of your lives'
i actually think he pronounces it with a british accent.. u know... with the british "a" and not the flat american "a" (aeeey). But ur right.. it does sound like german.
(cont) Tesco employed 250,000 peopel as well and is THE MOST GREEN of the big supermarkets. cut the compnay some slack - after all thank them for your cheaper food prices - because you don't think Asda has cut prices because it wants to do you???? Best of luck Tesco - keep delivering the goods!!!
You should all be thankful for what denmark have done in afghanistan. Rest of the EU nations stays at the north..come and join the real fight in the south
didn't mean I thought it was crap then, that was meant to be a response to someone saying it reminded them of the plot from half life 2... sort it out youtube
It was really funny how the mildly bald prince harry commented on the tesco's invasion "I quite like the danes, couple of my occasional f*ck are danes" lol
I loved the way they said, "And then there was the war with Denmark." It was fantastically out of left field, said in such a deliciously matter of fact way.
It was a good day when the final Tesco store was demolished and the flag of Aldi was planted on top of the rubble.
Excuse me
Lidl all the way!
Every L
idl helps!
Command and Conquer 5, Tiberium Tesco
Nice to see both Tesco stores in Carlisle being highlighted in this video. I never trusted those pesky stores. Who knew that that would be where it all began?
The store deployment at 1:18 is very C&C-esque.
there slogon changed from "every little helps" to "we control every aspect of your life" lmao great vid
I feel like they missed a great joke about Tesco seizing Denmark for use as a staging ground in the inevitable battle for dominance against IKEA.
Our day will come
Tesco Value Milk nice name :P
You bastards!!! 😂
Tesco Value Milk
Tim Farron likes this
Now we're being invaded by Lidl
THE GREATEST thing to come out of time trumpet, this is in my top 10 favourite clips of all time. Whoever thought of this was a sheer genius, its so funny I have no need to make a joke in this comment.
I'm from Denmark, and that was brilliant! :o)
This is just so absurd. So typically Armando Iannucci 😂
i laughed my head off when i saw this!!! this is pure genius!!!
Oh yes, I am loving Iannucci's return to BBC here. Now we just need to see how the Tesco vs. Wal*Mart war would go.
Hahaha love it. I work at Tesco too. Oh the shame.
The funny part is that there´s no british supermarkeds in Denmark, but the danish supermarkedbrand NETTO has 175 stores in the UK...and more to come :)
Replace Tesco with AMAZON
I love how he pronounces Copenhagen in german :P
Genius 'War of the Worlds' references mixed with the trademark surrealist yet charmingly vicious satire of Armando Iannucci? Yes please!
The sad thing is I was in Tokyo earlier this year and a Tesco's opened up over the road!!
I guess the Doctor doesn't care about Denmark?
Fox news is just like this but slightly less believable.
OMFG this was just so brilliant! it made me laugh from the very frist second! xD
Im a dane, and i have an english friend that work at Tescos.. It was amazing! the helicopters coming in over CPH dropping down tesco-tranformers! I think im gonna watch it again! xD
wee!
This was apparently created by Gareth Edwards, the director of Star Wars Rogue One back in his animator days

This is bullshit!
Try to change the words "Tesco" with "Netto" and "Denmark" with "England" and you got the truth!! :D
Funny thing is, there WAS a time that Tesco was EVERYWHERE. It was the David Tennant of supermarkets
Myabe the sentance didn't make complete sense, but you got the message and look you made a grammatical error!
@catatonicable they say the Devil has the best music. we can now see why - he buys it cheaply from Tesco stores and downloads it cheaper from Tesco online....

@Bjowolf2 He He!But watch out for IKEA from my country :)!They are worse :)!Allreday Ivaded whole world!
i work in tesco haha there everyware now, there tryin 2 expand to america now :| beware america haha

I don't think Doctor who has had a tripod invasion yet, but it would make a good episode.
i actually think he pronounces it with a british accent.. u know... with the british "a" and not the flat american "a" (aeeey). But ur right.. it does sound like german.

It was really funny how the mildly bald prince harry commented on the tesco's invasion
"I quite like the danes, couple of my occasional f*ck are danes" lol
Funny how there's so many very serious political comments over some silly spoof tesco invasion mockumentary. Would be funny if it wasn't so accurate.
if tesco= walmart, then why do u hate it? it has all kind of food, especially walmart supercenters, i mean its cheap. its a poor college kids dream!
Fucking brilliant! I hate tesco its like a fucking rash that just keeps spreading! And I'm off to Denmark next week, hopfully there will be some left!
Tesco founded by a Jew, but not a beef sausage in the stall. Talk about hypocrisy.
@timboslayer It's much worse in ASDA and the products are of lower quality as well.
@bangladesh461: Try travelling a bit, our systems are still very close to the best.
People who are unhappy with Denmark should go to other countries for some time, live there, and then come back and tell us what they think.
Hey, I WISH we had Tesco in the states. All we have is a dumpy Wal-Mart chain. They smell funny, and the workers are typically underpaid.
@DJEdSaunders Even if it is very cold but at least it's doesn't rain as much.
Prince Harry: "I like the Danes... a couple of my occasional fucks are Danes."
Coming soon - Tesco's Schools, Tesco's Hospitals, Tesco's Security Firms, Tesco's Police, Tesco's Militia...
Tesco - The Evil Empire
Oh. My. God. You're a character from Frasier aren't you? Or something? Sorry, you live on a different planet, please leave me alone.
Im danish. And not upset. Why should I?
Dont know what Tescos is. Its just well made animations, funny.
But I dont get the point...
Omg vi er alle fortabte >_
jesus, all these danes getting worked up about their country being mocked. it's just a sketch show for christ sakes! lighten up!
@AroundThePony - Because the Americans invaded us too... No, I don't really know, but I sure do ask the same question...
if the Danes are so "intelligent!" one of them could tell me: why are 7-11 in every single fucking corner in Copenhagen?
hahahaha u don't know anything about denmark. copenhagen is the capital of denmark. jutland is the biggest part of denmark.
'ko-bem- hah - oon',. or 'ko-pen- har-gen' or 'ko-pen-hay-gen' all correct...the latter is probably the least correct.
@SystemFailure404 i think you misunderstand, the danske supemarket is not owned by the governmentnt but maerske
doesnt anybody get it? its making a joke about tesco and denmark vs germany in world war 2 at the same time.
Apparently Tesco has been waging an economic war against Greece as well. Poor Greece never stood a chance.
"are not run by the government, but by regular people" - I didnt say they were owned by the goverment...
Denmark will fight and we will win again, just like we won all those other wars that people say we lost.
me and my friend have been wondering who wud win in a war between tesco and google. I'm google hes tesco
yay.... its right......... we decent from vikings but.......
we are not vikings any more TT-TT
AAAAAAAHHRRRR.....You just had to ruin it with your ignorance
And so it will go on...and on...until the WHOLE WORLD IS OURS!!!
Tesco, Tesco, uber alles...
This is really funny. They could make an entire series about Tescos and I would watch it.
I dont see the problem whit the foreigners? I think we shoud help thoose who have to flee.
@itsTempleofSound well less of a wink and more of a blatant reskin of the animation! WIN
You better watch out though otherwise Tesco will go next to your house or even on it lol
is that tescos setting up a wink to command and conquer?
