My brother (drywall guy) gave me a handy tip to keep the pan from slipping in your hand- put some painters tape on the bottom and up the sides where you grip it. Works like a charm~

REALLY well done! I hate drywall with a passion. hate it. You weren't shy about the parts that stink and made it approachable. Thanks for filling some gaps in my knowledge and for calling out PPE! Great video!

Impressive! Not bad for a beginner drywall job. Much better then me. You’re so right, mudding drywall is a master craft. Much respect to those who do it for a living and can do it well.

Oh, my...that is going to be one beautiful workshop when you are through with it. I have to say, Stefani.....I have outlet envy. So many outlets, it made my eyes pop. But that shiplap ceiling is like the one you did at your parent's rental, love it. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to watch you put that ceiling up. 😉

Jesu Kristi, you and your videos are such inspirations. Thanks for what you do and for sharing such good content. I am working on doing exactly all of this in a new garage workshop (and bike shop in the loft area). Mine also includes a mini-split system (so thanks for *that* video). Just amazing. Great job!!
    Did I say thanks?
Need to add that I am finishing a master closet now with the help of *that* video.

So... out of curiosity, what did your Dad say? I would bet that he was really proud of your work. You figured out what and how your were doing the job and then just worked out the techniques along the way. I really appreciate the attention to detail in this video Stefani. It is too easy for those presenting on UA-cam to skip over stuff for getting video to a certain length, to make it more enjoyable, etc. There is nothing enjoyable about doing drywall and mudding EXCEPT when it is done and ready for paint. Not glossing over how much work goes into something is really important to me. Thanks!

You did an excellent job on the drywall installation, the mudding, taping and finishing too. Everything you did looked totally professional to me, very impressive result! As this space is going to be a dedicated workshop, I presume you have planned for some form of dust extraction, and your fuse box is set up to accommodate various saws, drills, planers etc?

Nice video! I'm just trying to install drywall on the ceiling, so this is perfect! Btw do you think it was better to add some water to a small amount of compound and do some manual mixing? Or did you still use some kind of tool? I thought of doing the same, so it would really help me out! Thank you and your workshop is looking amazing!

If you’re doing any significant amount of drywall I do recommend the Milwaukee drywall screw gun works so much better than those dimpler bits.

Great video as always but. You don't have enough screws in your boards. The code where I live. Is six inch around the perimeter and eight inch in the field. Of each board. Also I like the yellow mesh tape. To each there own.

The code says either way is fine, but it would drive my ocd brain crazy knowing that I have full seams relying on one stud not to warp or twist and crack my mud.

You should have researched better. You made every part of that take waaay longer than it should have taken. Plus you didn’t screw your butt joints enough. It looked nice when finished but you’re going to get cracks and you had to sand 1000% too much. Nice first attempt.
