My brother (drywall guy) gave me a handy tip to keep the pan from slipping in your hand- put some painters tape on the bottom and up the sides where you grip it. Works like a charm~
Thank you for the tip!! 🙌
Its clear how much effort is really going into these videos. So satisfying watch someone knock out projects with pride and the attention to detail is incredible! 💪🏼
Your efforts are amazing. The result of your drywall and mudding are impressive. Great tips. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. 😊
Thanks for all your time on these. You make things very clear and if I ever attempt drywall I’ll be sure to review this over and over again!
REALLY well done! I hate drywall with a passion. hate it. You weren't shy about the parts that stink and made it approachable. Thanks for filling some gaps in my knowledge and for calling out PPE! Great video!
It’s a great space. I need this size for a garden shed! Can’t wait to see it all kitted out.
You're hitting this one out of the park!!!! You may be exhausted, but we're all exhilarated!!! Thank you for the simplified, yet detailed explanations and step-by-step instructions. I keep suggesting your videos to my husband to show his 8th graders the perfect example of what "details matter" truly means! Blessings!!
Thank you so much for your support!! ❤
Great teamwork, you make it look so easy!
Impressive! Not bad for a beginner drywall job. Much better then me. You’re so right, mudding drywall is a master craft. Much respect to those who do it for a living and can do it well.
Hey, Stephanie, I found your descriptions of how to use the tools to apply the mud/plaster very helpful. I enjoy watching your channel. Your experience shows and your explanations a so clear and easy to understand. You’re a good teacher.
For someone who hasn’t done much drywall, you did a fantastic job.
You guys work so well together! Great team!
Your videos are always so informative, I feel like i can do anything after watching them 😊
Hey Stefani
I will say putting up the wallboard makes the room come together.
You did an outstanding job with the mudding.
I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.
What an awesome job, you made that mudding look easy. Can't wait for the next video. Take care
Oh, my...that is going to be one beautiful workshop when you are through with it. I have to say, Stefani.....I have outlet envy. So many outlets, it made my eyes pop. But that shiplap ceiling is like the one you did at your parent's rental, love it. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to watch you put that ceiling up. 😉
Such a helpful video, your effort is much appreciated!
Great job looks amazing enjoyed watching and thank you so much for sharing
You did an awesome job here. It really looks great.
Jesu Kristi, you and your videos are such inspirations. Thanks for what you do and for sharing such good content. I am working on doing exactly all of this in a new garage workshop (and bike shop in the loft area). Mine also includes a mini-split system (so thanks for *that* video). Just amazing. Great job!!
Did I say thanks?
Need to add that I am finishing a master closet now with the help of *that* video.
outstanding job young lady, you should be proud.
Fantastic. Such patience
You have more than enough skill to use the 90min for your first top coat and follow up same day with the plus 3. Good job 👍🏽
Mini splits are very popular - looking forward to that episode since I’m planning on one for my garage.
That looks like a pro job! Nice work!
Amazing as usual!!!
You did a great job for a beginner, I've seen people with years of experience that don't do as good of a job as you did
You did a great job! You looked like a pro mudding!
Looks awesome!
Looking amazing ❤
Very detailed information.
Thanks.
It's going to be Amazing!!!!
Stefani , super work. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Nice job
So... out of curiosity, what did your Dad say? I would bet that he was really proud of your work. You figured out what and how your were doing the job and then just worked out the techniques along the way. I really appreciate the attention to detail in this video Stefani. It is too easy for those presenting on UA-cam to skip over stuff for getting video to a certain length, to make it more enjoyable, etc. There is nothing enjoyable about doing drywall and mudding EXCEPT when it is done and ready for paint. Not glossing over how much work goes into something is really important to me. Thanks!
Gosh you make that look so easy. I struggle so bad with mudding. We couldn’t even find someone to hire and do it. Ugh
You did an excellent job on the drywall installation, the mudding, taping and finishing too. Everything you did looked totally professional to me, very impressive result! As this space is going to be a dedicated workshop, I presume you have planned for some form of dust extraction, and your fuse box is set up to accommodate various saws, drills, planers etc?
Beautiful! Once you have kids it's going to become a storage cabinet though lol
Nice video! I'm just trying to install drywall on the ceiling, so this is perfect! Btw do you think it was better to add some water to a small amount of compound and do some manual mixing? Or did you still use some kind of tool? I thought of doing the same, so it would really help me out! Thank you and your workshop is looking amazing!

For not doing this very much, you did exceptionally-well.
NICE
A little dawn dish soap in that mud makes it nice and smooth 😎
Thanks for the tip!
@@HomeWithStefani no problem
Very nice. How long did each coat take approximately. Looks about the same size of room that I would like to tackle.
If you’re doing any significant amount of drywall I do recommend the Milwaukee drywall screw gun works so much better than those dimpler bits.
Great video as always but. You don't have enough screws in your boards. The code where I live. Is six inch around the perimeter and eight inch in the field. Of each board. Also I like the yellow mesh tape. To each there own.
Step one for drywalling: rip an energy drink and crank up the rock music. Spot on with your description and tips for hanging drywall, super excellent guide for someone beginning.
Yes, can't forget the most important step!! 😂
Invest in a laser level and cheap camera tripod. It's a game changer for jobs like this.
Is the mud supposed to be thinner when taping or can it all be cake frosting like consistency? Thanks
In the UK we prefer to use plaster on our walls, certainly not mud! 😮
Because this is to prep for painting
What kind of wood do you use for the ceilings?
End result look fine, using a proper mixing drill and stick would mix mud faster, I’m sure u too years just to mix cuz u ended up mixing in you pan, it looks good tho
Opening music had a similar vibe as the sopranos opening. Hmmmm
two coats of mud is good
3 different types of mud? Is it a must?
no sheetrock on the ceiling?
My Fadder was a Mudder
Why are we hanging the top row first?? 🤣
13:10 noooo…do a single run of tape down
If you hung the drywall vertical, You wouldn't have had any butt joints
That depends if the sheets are long enough
@@matsudakodo You can get up to 12 foot sheets, Not going to run into many ceiling higher than that right.
The code says either way is fine, but it would drive my ocd brain crazy knowing that I have full seams relying on one stud not to warp or twist and crack my mud.
You should have researched better. You made every part of that take waaay longer than it should have taken. Plus you didn’t screw your butt joints enough. It looked nice when finished but you’re going to get cracks and you had to sand 1000% too much. Nice first attempt.
To be fair, she made it very clear she isn't a pro. You always take longer when you're starting out.
Listen this is my marriage proposal I would dearly love to marry you.
