  • Join me as I tackle my latest project: building a back house from scratch! In this video, I’ll show you the process of burning cedar for the siding and installing it on an exterior wall. We'll also take a tour of the inside to see the progress so far.
    Why Burning Cedar?
Burning cedar, also known as Shou Sugi Ban, is a traditional Japanese technique that enhances the wood’s durability and adds a unique, beautiful finish. It’s not just functional but also an aesthetic choice for this project. This ain't the Japanese way but it gets the job done.
    About the Project:
Building this back house has been a dream of mine, and after all the custom vans I've built, this is my next big challenge. From the exterior to the interior, every detail is crafted with care and precision, despite it being my first time undertaking such a project. I’m excited to share every step of this journey with you!
