Hi, you have to let them decide on their own if they want to breed, but provide a lot of food and privacy and egg food. Sometimes they may not like each other or it could take a while for them to decide to breed. Good luck
Hi, the protein is healthy for them and when the babies hatch, the parents need to feed the babies the protein food to grow. Do not house the three canaries together, they will fight. The protein food is for growth. You could put the three canaries in separate cages side by side and let the male pick with one he will like and them let them out to fly and see which two will bond together. Hello. 4 days ago I separated my pair because the male was pulling feathers from the back of the babies. The babies are 12 days old. The female is doing a hard job because the babies are 5 (all alive and kicking), so i decided to help her. I use a small syringe but i would like to use the tool i see in your video. Where did you get it? BTW, very cute baby!

How often do you have to feed a canary at this age a day? I have one this age that I rescued, when its toe got caught on his nest and he hung upside down all night in the aviary. He is doing fine now, but I need to leave the house for a couple hours, so need to know if that is ok. I feed him every half hour from 6am to 8pm.
So sorry for the delay, I am having a hard time to answer posts due to the new google. I hope your canary is doing okay. Every 1/2 hour sounds good, even every hour and make it longer every week, sometimes you can feed when they ask for it, good luck
My baby canaries are scared of me.. they dont even open their mouth by itselfs.. i have to open it myself but they dont swollow almost nothing.. i miss when their mom was feeding them lol.
