This was my first QUEEN Concert,Feb.7th,1976 at the Beacon,NYC,many more followed through their career,It was a great ride !Still listen to their music ,& was the greatest !
James Patrick DeLucci I was born in 1955 and I remember Freddie very well. My totally stoned brain didn't wipe out everything. Memory has little to do with when and where we were. Some "kids" just want more than they ever had. Bragging makes some people feel better about themselves. So goes life. Peace and love ❤️ Edited for grammar. Now if you don't mind I'll go back to my Pink Floyd and my side of Columbian Gold.
I was born one year later... god I wish I could say I was there too. even silent you can see the energy in the performance. I can only imagine it live and with music

I was there. Drove in from Montauk in a car that only had 2 gears. Drove 28 miles an hour for what seemed like FOREVER to get there. But we made it, 6 of us in a '73 Cutlass. What a show. Had 3rd row center balcony. They were AMAZING. Truly. Looking back, it was more than an honor. It was living thru history. the last tour the would play small venues. Next time was at MSG later that year, early Autumn. They had Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy as the opening act. The LAST time they would have an opener. From then on, it was a QUEEN show. 2- 2 1/2 hours worth. And worth every minute of it.
I love watching these older clips of him performing. They were so raw and energetic. By the time the Magic tour came in the 80's, he had this more refined stage presence and performance. These earlier videos are like watching a firework break loose and go all over the place. Magical! Great Video!
yeah Albert I was at this show and yes they were very RAW the lighting was good but simple and the place was small on seated approximately 2.500 people so it was up close and personal
there was 2 shows at the beacon back to back nights and I was at one if them that's the night I became the big Queen fan that I am today. What a great show they opened with the operatic part of Bohap the recording then blew everyone away with the final part of the song the rock part
So we just need a set list from this concert (A Night at The Opera in Feb 1976 at the Beacon Theater NYC) and we'll know what's being played (as this is the start of the concert, it says)? That must be easily do-able by die-hard Queen fans.
Beacon Theater February 6, 1976 (not sure if the filming is from the feb 6th night, but the setlist sure must be this, and the only setlist in the site is from 6th feb) in www.queenlive.ca Bohemian Rhapsody Ogre Battle, Sweet Lady, White Queen, Flick Of The Wrist Killer Queen, The March Of The Black Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody (reprise), Bring Back That Leroy Brown, Brighton Rock, Son And Daughter, The Prophet's Song, Stone Cold Crazy, Doing All Right, Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon, Keep Yourself Alive, Liar, In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited, Now I'm Here, Big Spender, Jailhouse Rock, God Save The Queen
I'm not sure which night it was. I know that they started with the last part of Bohemian Rhapsody. They played the studio recording for the first part, and the live show/"explosion" started at the end of the lyric "Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me". If you play the studio recording of that song, and start my video at the end of that lyric, the video lines up for just a short while with a couple lyric lines. I remember they played big spender as one of the encores. But the video has several splices, and the windup camera needed to be rewound every so often, so the uninterrupted pieces aren't very long. What would be neat is if audio from the show could be synced up with a few pieces of the movie.
I have synced an audience recording from New York 6/2/1976 to this footage, it's on my channel! :)It's also a better transfer and quality than this one posted here.-Chin

Freddie exudes such an inhuman amount of energy that I could just faintly hear him singing despite the fact there's no audio.
There are not many filmed concerts of A Night At The Opera Tour!!
Except A Night At The Odeon!!
Great, Queen!

The footage is mesmerising. Like a dream or an old memory. Enchanting.
They are so good that I can hear the music!
I migliori anche in silenzio. Uno spettacolo anche senza musica
All the Freddie Mercury mannerism are there--the way he holds the mic, how he moves with it, how he extends his hands. External Mercury!

My hunch was 7 Seas of Rhye - no singing at the keyboard
Phoenix Love 1974. Too early for that little number.
this footage is from 1976, Bohemian Rhapsody was released earlier. There's a possibility.

Why from 3:23 was written Genesis?
DANNY MERCURY Probably because the filmed had also filmed Genesis and had compiled the footage
I have several films spliced together, and when I converted the dvd to mp4 files, I went a couple seconds too long.
DANNY MERCURY The man himself if here!
