Coach I am so glad to see you back doing what you love! You're a special football coach and even better person. Love that you are honoring the greats like Irving who was a Great Eagle and Cornhusker. Myself and many fans of the game missed your presence last few years. Just know you have so much support, and your contribution to the game over the last 25 years has inspired many including myself. Thank You coach, keep grinding.
Your message means more to me than you know! And your donation will help me buy ink pens which I desperately need! Hope to meet you soon thank you so much - JG
17 years in the NFL. That speaks to your dedication to a cause. Add 4 years of college and high school. Thats an incredible amount of time. May God continue to bless you both .
Gruden came back with the heat. They tried to blackball my boy over some funny emails. Hope he gets a comeback in the nfl. Hes a better offensive mind than sean payton!
Marino was probably the best pure passer to ever play the game. His subtle movements in the pocket to gain time and the arm strength, vision, quick release and accuracy are without peer.
47 year old, Patriots fan from southern NH here. Went to many games at the old Sullivan Stadium back in the day. Fryar and Starring were my two favorite receivers growing up. Love that he came out clean from the troubled times. He's looking sharp! Thanks Coach and thank you Irving!
He was a superior tremendous athlete. I saw him play basketball when the Patriots charity basketball team played at my high school against the local police and firefighter team and he just stood out glaringly even among other Patriots players. He was playing ABOVE the rim like he was Jordan or something. He had springs in his legs and got up and soared like it was effortless. It was crazy how you just go wtf, that guys ridiculous. He had so many crazy highlight dunks that every one was like NBA highlight dunks
So awesome to hear from Irving! Life long 50 year Phins fan here and some of my best football memories are of him with Marino. It’s really interesting listening to him talk about those times from a player perspective … glad you had him on Coach! Great behind the scenes stories!
65 about to turn 66 here, I believe the older you get the more you benefit from regular exercise. Also becomes more difficult to do but that just shows how important it is to keep doing it and don't take extended times of "forgetting" to do it. I've been doing "power yoga" since 2001 and I wish I never ever took time off during most of my 50's because wow it is hard to do now.
So great to have Irving Fryar on here! He has the most underrated podcast out there with ‘ The Fryar Place’. Very candid about his past & hearing about the old school NFL days from him & his guests is such a treat. Glad to see these 2 legends together!
Enjoying hearing these caring and sharing of stories. Its like being at the fireside with your uncles, but your uncles are two pros of the sport sharing the inside history!
Coach… I effing love the show and I’m so happy you are doing this man!!! This is going to takeoff bigger than anything the networks would have done for you. Pleaseeeeeee whoever runs this page, you have to do a Frank caliendo segment again!!! That would be HILARIOUS!!! Go eagles!! 🦅
Real cool. Irving was my favorite groung up in central Mass in the 80's. I played same positions. I looked up to Mr.Fryar. Had to watch and it made my day to see this pop up. Total class act. Thanks, Irving and God bless. ✌️
Love your show. First time hearing Irving Fryar, what a guy! I remember seeing him play and how great he was, but hearing him talk and tell his stories was awesome.
As a non American who has followed NFL, College for around 40 years from afar, Jon Gruden is the BEST. His knowledge, passion and love for everything about the game is what makes life good.
Hi Coach, glad to see you brother! Mr. Fryar is an awesome person and i'm happy to see how the Lord God Almighty has redeemed him and made him a brighter light than ever before! I love it! God bless and peace to everyone.
Always love the little windows that open to the times before my watching the nfl... what a story, what a life, and what a connection these two people shared. Keep up the good work, will watch every second of it!
Appreciate Irving's contributions to the Nebraska story! Pillar to one of the best chapters in our history. Hope to see him back in Memorial Stadium sooner than later. GBR!
Coach, in my opinion nobody knows Football like you. I’m glad you’re back doing what you love. One more thing, you look like you did 20 years ago. God bless you Coach Gruden.
Couch Gruden is a great football mind and for me perhaps the greatest mind. I know him personally. He, Cindy and the boys are genuine and I admire them. I will always be in his corner. I love his content. I love the man. Great stuff couch!!!
Welcome back coach. Glad to see how somehow, someway, still a dude. I was so pumped for the direction I saw in the Raiders before the BS. I knew it wasnt the end of the Gruden knowledge teaching.
Listening to great coaches, players, and men like Jon Gruden and Irving Fryar is like floating in a warm pool of KFC football gravy. Like that Belichick press conference filibuster on long snappers. I'm soaking it all in man! 😂
Much respect for you both. Great podcast. Coach you being on injured reserved the NFL is doing you, the game and its fans a disservice. Ecstatic you are back giving us content in the style only you have.
Looks like he is doing good ! Lots of nice things behind him ! I have been struggling for 61 years ! Had to fight every day to get what i have! Life is tough !!
Entertaining interview. Fryar is an insightful speaker. His wish to have played longer with Miami would’ve only been met with frustration because of Shula’s nauseating prevent defense which cost the ‘fins too many last minute blown leads. The only thing it did was to prevent a ring for Marino.

Why are you sending $50. to this wealthy man?
I was thinking the same thing. 50 million from raiders coaching contract?

Because he can....

Love Irving Fryar, after coming to Miami of course. He had some amazing games with Marino.
Irving Fryar was a great player and brought a lot smiles to the faces of us Dolphins fans fans.💪🏻

Agreed
Being reduced to hosting a yt channel is funny.
@@NatTurnerswitBurnerz he has a net worth of over 30 million, i think he's ok. you are reduced to trolling on YT channels
Funny emails? That’s what you call racism these days.
That’s not saying much

You can just tell how much enjoyment Gruden gets out this specfic interview, it's great to see him this happy!
Always enjoyed Irving’s play. His days at Nebraska is what made me a fan. An underrated player I believe. He was a perfect compliment to Marino.
Irvin Fryar is a South Jersey Legend! HS Phenom Athlete in Track Baseball and Football! No surprise he was #1 Draft Pick NFL!
When he said he played safety in high school I knew he had to be the best athlete in his school. Did he play basketball?

Thanks you two, I'm still working my way back from hard times but gonna make it. Football and faith are part of my story as well.
This was awesome and I love how y’all let him talk about his faith
Love what Irving had to say about how to face your obstacles in life. Thank for your wisdom 🙏

West Philly got love for Irv, watching Orange Bowl as a young kid all the way with My Eagles
Coach we love hearing you break down this game, but you belong on the field. Hope and pray you got another opportunity. The NFL needs you
Irving Fryar is an Orange Bowl icon. Those annual Cornhusker trips to the OB for New Year's night always delivered top notch football.
