Don't ever forget the Ravens role in Deflategate either. John Harbaugh was so salty about being outcoached by Bill in the Divisional Round, the Ravens contacted the Colts GM about possibly "deflated" balls.
don't ever forget the following season after deflategate, the same thing happened during steelers vs new york. It was reported. No investigation, no punishment, no court case, nothing. The league said yea it makes sense the ball pressure went down. Fuck that clown goodell
The catalyst was when Brady clowned Harbaugh by saying something like "he should try reading the rulebook" after Harbaugh complained about the Patriots using non-standard but 100% legal offensive formations to help fuel their comeback. Unfortunately somebody on either the Ravens or Colts actually was familiar enough with the rulebook to know about the rule setting the legal range of 12.5-13.5 PSI, and was familiar enough with the laws of physics to realize that it was physically impossible to comply with this rule if the temperature on the field is more than 25 or so degrees Fahrenheit colder on the field than in the locker room, and used this knowledge to set in motion a plan to catch the Patriots violating the rule in the AFC championship game, which was all but guaranteed to happen given that it was played in New England in the middle of January, And given how stupid most people involved with the NFL fans are, and how much they hate the Patriots, it was easy for them to build a narrative painting the Patriots as cheaters that most people bought into even though it was obvious to anyone with more than two brain cells that the temperature on the field was the only factor causing their footballs to lose pressure.

i don't think you are going to be able to top this episode... what a walk down memory lane
Love this episode. Miss you guys on the field. Thanks for all the memories!
Awesome show guys.. Boston loves you guys forever and always no matter what!! The words Thank you aren't enough, but it's all we got right now so, thank you!!
I witnessed Gronk and Edelman's entire time on the Patriots. They were both SPECTACULAR!!!
My dad Bill Poole was captain of the Lexington Minutemen back then - got to go out on the field as the Endzone Militia for all the home games - got a great picture of him wearing the SB ring in his outfit and another one next to Blount after a TD.
Hey Edelman!
I don’t know who your producer who chimes in is but that dude is the man.
He keeps you boys on track like a coach.
He lays the map in the beginning and you boys run the routes and corrects you where need be.
Keep that dude around for sure!
I absolutely love this podcast. The bew studio looks amazing. You guys came back with the best possible guest in Gronk. I love listening to the stories. I cant wait for more guys!
Nice to see the raw truth from two greats who we're not allowed to give "bulletin board" material back in the day
I could literally listen to you guys talk all day long.
WE LOVE YOU JULES + GRONK
Thank you for making our childhood incredible!!!!
Oh yeah. Happy as hell y’all are back. And popping it off with Gronk is insane. LFG
These two should have a show together.
As a 25 year patriots fan born and raised in Mass, this podcast is full of crazy memories 🎉 thank you Gronk and Jules
Love that, Tom fed us, he’s our guy
This podcast just helped me do the dishes for 50 minutes so thank you! These guys are legends!!!
The studio definitely should be called "The Hall of Games"
We all had it so good for so long with these guys.
I never comment on videos but this is the most entertaining podcast I’ve seen in a while… and I listen to podcasts every day. They’re both hilarious. Great combo and stories told
I’ve been waiting for this episode! I’m not even a patriots fan but I find it so interesting how they dominated for years. I love hearing about it
Phenomenal reminisce with 2 of best NE legends! Been rather boring as a Pats fan these past few years.
How can you not love these 2?!? Best time to be a patriot fan...fuckin amazing time. Thanks both of you for the best memories!
This reminds me of when you see that old friend and pick up right where y’all left off! You can feel the friendship
Just want to make a note that Tom Brady has twice as many tackles as Gronk does (14 to his 7).
i’m a colts fan and hated the patriots so much in this era i was blocked by Malcolm Butler on IG. but now i just appreciate that i got to witness the Patriots Dynasty.
This. Is. So. Damn. Good. 💯
Huge congrats to both Jules & Gronk on HOF careers + continued success off the field too 👏🏼🙌🏼
PS Respect the Brady real talk at the end… Tom should’ve told Julian personally he was heading south, after all those years, rings 💍 and balls 🏈
Thanks for the memories guys 😍
This style of podcast is great. Great for like a nfl films & podcast combo. But julian should really have a podcast called "Remember when..." because thats what this podcast turned into and it was perfect. Exactly what pats fans like to hear. I love this
Edelman and Gronk torching the Colts about Deflategate is one of the most satisfying things this Patriot fan has ever seen.
Love former patriots talking ball, childhood heros right here 👌
The other day I was watching highlights from Pats vs Steelers in 2013. It’s insane how dominant prime Gronk was
1:33:00 to 1:34:00 that was deep, I felt it and I’m not even a Pats fan.
Man I’ve been lucky as hell to be living in NE my whole life . I’ve been spoiled with all the parades thanks to these 2 ad of course the Goat. I couldn’t thank you guys enough for making me so proud to be a New Englander.
I started watching this pod after i saw you on New Heights and i then SCOURED reddit for hours trying to figure out whether this pod was dead or not and this just made my day. Keep em goin Jules 🎉
during the off season yall need to get tom, dola, and gronk reunite the boys for a pod that would be so much fun to see
I LOVE GRONK, he really has grown so much. I use to hate him because I thought he was entitled but he really was a dude that just liked to have fun and be himself. Forever a legend for me. Tampa Gronk really got me to like him so much, miss you in the game gronk, not the same without you!!!!
Entitled? What??? Where do people come up with this stuff?
I miss gronk not playing too. I'd like to watch some games with him and Kelce. I really became a fan when gronk went to Tampa. Man him and Brady were so fun to watch
Love them or hate them, being a kid growing up during the Patriots dynasty was such a gift. We will never see a team operate at that level for that long in professional sports again. Brady, Belichick, Welker, Harrison, Bruschi, Light, Asante, Seau, Vinatieri, Gostkowski, Moss, Branch, Brown, Edelman, Gronk, Nink, McCourty - the level that those guys operated at was just unbelievable.
Great episode, so glad the show is back
How are you finished
@@zachderbo3389great episode so far* that golf cart story kills me
So are we! Thanks for the support!
It just warms my heart to see and hear how much you guys embraced and loved the city and I can guarantee the city will never not love you 2.. Gronk and Jules without a doubt my 2 favorite Pats not named Brady 😂😂😂 MUCH respect to you both for holding us down and representing the Town your entire careers and now even in retirement!! I fn LOVE it... That Connecticut comment proves you're true Boston residents and Boston will always be your second home and yall will always be legends here 👌👌❤️❤️💯💯 WE DEM BOSTON BOYZ!!!
IMO, Jules and Gronk make a good duo, so as Tom and Jules or Tom and Gronk, but best Jules duo is Dola. Jules and Dola even look like brothers next to each other!! I hope to see an episode with all 4, Jules, Dola, Gronk and Tom!!
Late to the party here, but this is a refreshing interview style. Well done, great story telling and a fun listen. I'll be following along regularly now for sure..
Great episode, love when you get to hear from two legends.
Two of the greatest. So much love and respect you guys. You have filled my childhood with the most amazing memories thank you
You're back and the 1st ep is with Gronk!!
Indeed we are!
