@robertcarroll637 - So true. They sack a QB or make a routine tackle and they act like they cured cancer. And when the defense recovers a fumble or intercepts a pass and the entire defense runs down to t he end zone and pretend to be rowing a boat, twerking, humping the goal post - ridiculous. Another reason I don't watch as much football as I used to. And now the players are taunting the fans - those fellas better be careful in today's volatile environment. In today's NFL, Bo Jackson could probably suit up and run over most of these guys... 😒😒

That entire damn state is chalked full of freak athletes. Half of my family is from there. Years ago while visiting during the summer before my senior year of HS and in the best shape of my life (at 6’2” and around 210lbs) and messing around outside tossing a football with my uncle Don (in the south they pronounce it Dun) who was probably around 45 years old 6’ - 265lbs, at least 6 beers in on the day and smoked nearly two packs a day was hacking up a lung just from playing catch. I was ribbing him a bit and my dad heard it and said “even now he would whoop you in a foot race”. I was no speed demon but wasn’t slow either and I scoffed and giggled and my dad go’s “put your money where your mouth is”. So I reluctantly and arrogantly semi-seriously lined up next to Uncle Don (cigarette in his mouth) and chose a finish line that was approximately 100 yards out. My dad dropped his arms and I took off quite a bit faster but my belief that I was going to easily beat him was almost immediately shattered when (cigarette still between his front teeth) Uncle Don ran past me as if I were standing still (think 15 year old kid versus 5 year old kid) and all I saw for the last 65-70 meters was the bottom of his feet. That overweight, heavy smoking, beer drinking, flip flop wearing old dude had transformed into something unrecognizable. After my dad stopped laughing and Don stopped coughing my dad says “son…some lessons in life are learned the hard way. You just raced a man who had full ride scholarship offers from Auburn and Alabama in both track and football”. Unbelievable. I did get my revenge and still haven’t lost on the basketball court to any Alabama relatives. Of course…not much of a feat being a few of those times I let them play me 2 on 1 and I still won…if that tells you anything about what sport reigns supreme in the south. Crazy that Uncle Don also had a twin brother who also had numerous D1 scholarship offers. As did my cousin Danny who later won Mr. Alabama body building contest. Just a bunch of freak athletes with Bo Jackson being the pinnacle of them.

I remember on that 30 for 30 that he said he didn't even workout really. At least with weights.
Nike gave him all the state of the art equipment and it just collected dust.
A true freak of nature. He's a legend anyways but what if he didn't have such injuries that he was unfortunate to incur?

      Jim Thorpe?
I hate to admit it, but Herschel Walker was also insanely talented. There are many guys who could’ve excelled in multiple sports. LeBron might have been a better football player than he was as a basketball player. That’s not hyperbole. He was an all-American in football and a highly sought-after recruit: Ohio state, Notre Dane, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Texas, UCLA, USC.
Every school with top-notch football and basketball programs tried to recruit LeBron.
And let’s not forget Danny Ainge, who was a 3-sport All-American at the high school and college levels, and all-state in four sports in high school.
Deion Sanders, John Elway, Carl Lewis (drafted by the Chicago Bulls out of UH), Ronald Curry, and a few others.
Jim Thorpe killed it in multiple sports at the high school, college, pro, and Olympic levels, I obviously disagree with what he stood for.

      Shaq
      Kobe (R.I.P.)

      Duncan

      Tim Hardaway
      Ewing
      D. Robinson
      Hakeem

In this case, BO DOES KNOW!!!! He said what so many of us feel! Do your silly dancing after the game is over and the outcome has been decided.
Honestly, today's football has become tiresome and boring. The endless TV timeouts, the endless delays due to penalties (undisciplined teams due to poor coaching) and the worst culprit of all; the endless celebrations after a guy DOES HIS JOB and either scores or makes an actual play!!! These dudes celebrate after an interception or even a fumble recovery or good tackle!!! They celebrate for just doing their darn job that they are getting millions to do!!!! JUST DO YOUR JOB MAN!!!! It's embarrassingly bad, it's tiresome, and it's IGNORANT; especially considering that often times it occurs by players and teams that are behind on the scoreboard.
The league is afraid to take a stand on it because after all it might take away from their "freedom of expression". What an absolute joke! Go express yourself in the locker room AFTER the game is over so as not to waste our time or look stupid in the event that you lose the game.
One rule to live by that I was always taught when it came to any situation where I may have reached a big achievement or successful outcome in my life’s journey is to "ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE ! "
Some of the best athletes have figured that out and there is nothing that speaks louder than one of these guys/gals succeeding on a play etc and simply acting like it's just part of the job! Quite frankly,..it is! It says more about their character and actually speaks louder than any dance display could ever hope to.

    AMEN
Dudes be losing by 30 points and they tackle a rb behind the line and start acting like they just did a game winning tackle and go all out celebrating. It is so old. Imagine an Uber driver getting out his car and doing a dance every time he picked up and dropped off a customer. Just stupid

lmaoooooo hilarious example that really highlights the asburdity. Then imagine the uber driver is late too and celebrates

@SutekhDaSteemroller cause you can compare 1 man and a 20$ ride to hundreds of employees along with a huge task and trying to keep a bunch of kids or man babies at home Happy

@SutekhDaSteemroller imagine speaking about absurdities and then follow up comparing a single guy to a multi million dollar company.
