I know lesbian Clawdeen is the reigning fanfavorite, but personally I always saw her as aromantic/asec. Maybe it's just me projecting my own experiences as aromantic/asexual but her lack of interest in dating and only doing so when her peers pushed her to be more like them and date was exact experiences I've had. Her friends just want to see her happy and pushed their "boy crazy-ness" onto her, but it isn't who she is. Clawdeen just seemed uncomfortable with the idea of dating as a whole and if an amazing, inspiring character like Clawdeen were ace, that would be the most amazing representation since there is next to none in popular media. If I had had that kind of a role model growing up, normalizing that it's okay to not want to be dating, I can honestly say my sense of self-image and insecurities would have been very different growing up.

BUT I think I would be awesome if she had a LGBTQ+ sibling or a background student or teacher is and they become part of the main cast.
It's more impactful if it's one of the main character not a background students nor a sibling. Frankie easily can fit that of a straight girl who doesn't fall for every guy ( and yes I know we've seen her but that's depending on the writers but she's shown to also shine being single!) so Cladween being LGBT is a major win!
Draculuara and clawd are iconic, it would just be so pandering to break them up. I always loved the fact that clawdeen was a fashion forward, no nonsense, loyal ghoul who wasn't boy crazy. It really made me feel seen. But seeing how so many other people viewed the character, it just goes to show how impactful this franchise is. I never saw clawdeen as gay, but if that's what they're going with, sweet as.
Honestly as queer transmasc who really found myself through the male monsters…i would’ve loved to have seen a gay male character (especially Valentine!). I really hope the reboot can give a new generation of queer kids the representation they deserve.
I love the idea of making Clawdeen and Drac cannon BUT I love Clawd’s and Drac’s relationship. I think it’s be better if Clawdeen had a moment to reflect on her jealous and move on, as to be happy for her best friend and brother.

So I’ll be honest I really really want to see Valentine’s redemption arc of finding a bf but I also know Mattel is probably playing it super safe since MH is still kind of in a casket. I’m kind of mixed on Clawdeen being (L)GBTQ cause I really didn’t see it when I was a kiddo. I was really into Clawdeen being strait and not into boys and that being an important message in itself. I feel like it’s a mix of whether her being a strait girl who isn’t boy crazy or her being bi or les would be more significant because it just depends on the audience. Personally would prefer to keep her the way Garret intended and bring Valentine, Night or Ki into the mix instead!
I hope one day Mattel create’s an LGBTQ MH character, but I doubt it will be Clawdeed since she wasn’t created to be lesbian. I like the idea of her being hetero, strong minded , and not boy crazy teen , because that need’s to be represented as well for young kid’s teens etc… I’m heterosexual , but in my opinion an LGBTQ representation should be a new , and refreshing character with a well thought out backstory , not a flip on an existing character with zero thought behind it. To answer your question about Clawdeen & Draculaura becoming a couple I doubt it. Yeah, I like the Draculaura x Clawd ship too. I think that while it's important to show LGBTQ+ relationships, it's equally as important to show deep friendships that aren't secretly romantic. Too many times have I seen characters who were "just friends" turn out to be secretly soulmates, and I really want children's media to just let people stay friends. You can still have a deep platonic bond with someone while being romantically involved with someone else, and it's important to show kids that friendships are just as important as romance. But then again, this is just mostly leftover irritation about Starco. (I know it's been three years. I'm still not over it)

I remember watching the web series as a kid when it came out and I absolutely ADORED Clawdeen. I never knew that I was attracted to her (especially because of the type of household I grew up in would disapprove of that) so I thought I just liked her. Then after I came out as lesbian I realized that I was attracted to all these characters I loved back then.

Personally I prefer quality in the actual doll over their fashion, I'd much rather have a fully posable high quality doll with cheaply made clothes. Maybe it's just cause I make doll clothes so I can always make better clothes if I want, but the way I see it it's a lot easier to switch out clothes than to try to make a stiff limbed doll posable.
Whether or not Clawdeen is confirmed to be lesbian, I feel like she looks like she would be. I have no clue why, but she really seems like she would be 😅

I'd love Monster High to stay set in Highschool. But I wouldn't mind more older siblings being introduced, maybe a Clawllege Line with college/university themed playsets.
Personally, I've always really wanted Clawdeen & Draculaura to be a couple. It's just that this ship makes a lot of sense to me and I would love to see these two together after MH come back!
The thing that I think a lot of people don’t get is that if they make them canon, they probably won’t make Draculaura date Clawd in the first place in the reboot, so that wouldn’t be an issue. I personally would rather her be with Clawdeen, honestly

Gods I really hope the movies are based on the Lisa books! They were so good! Especially following the story of a new girl who discovers herself (no spoilers!) and how Frankie literally stood up against hatred and stereotypes. I still love the opening chapter where she over hears her parents talking about what she can and can’t do in the real world and she makes the comment “-body tensed at the sound of those words. How could someone else decide what she was capable of?” It filled me with shills when reading it! It’s such a great book!
I personally was really exited when they were gonna make a ever after high and monster high movie but since eah was canceled we can't have that anymore. maybe they could continue the movie that would be cool
I absolutely think that the quality of Clothing is more important than articulation ! That’s prob why MGA has been hitting it out of the park with their releases and Mattel has been suffering. I really hope that monster high comes out with movies coordinating with their doll lines , I have really been getting into all their old movies . My daughter loves watching scarier reef movie ! And I want to collect all the dolls from that movie !
If they actually make Clawdeen and Draculara a gay couple I’ll be extremely disappointed. Clawd and Draculara where a couple I referenced my future relationship on and something I strived to have when I grew up so if Mattel goes that route instead of making a new gay character or making one of the characters who ISN’T in a committed relationship in the original show gay would be disgraceful to the original brand and pure bs to me! (Also this is coming as a bi woman who’d love to see mature storytelling with lgbtq characters but it better be done with the justice the original franchise deserves)
I like the articulation they had before. I am open if they edit the bodies thickness or wanted to experiment some on the bodies. Since Bratz are coming back, i don't mind getting those fashion packs for my older monster high dolls. I hope mostly to not become so overwhelmed by future releases. I missed out on a lot of dolls i didn't even know egsisted until it was way to late. As for the LGBT representation. If the company is scared to actually do it, fans are still open of making ships happen no matter the case, but on a flip side. If they did it from not a authentic place. Fans are ganna be upset if they notice that, and i don't know yet how the writers are going to adapt the characters yet. I would love to see old characters get explored but there isn't a garintee yet if the writting will have a great first impression, specially how the reboot will come out. Because we don't know how the dolls will be designed or shifting into a new era. I want to wait and see what comes out or leaks and try to keep an open mind. About what changes might happen.

I remember watching the web series as a kid when it came out and I absolutely ADORED Clawdeen. I never knew that I was attracted to her (especially because of the type of household I grew up in would disapprove of that) so I thought I just liked her. Then after I came out as lesbian I realized that I was attracted to all these characters I loved back then.

Personally I prefer quality in the actual doll over their fashion, I'd much rather have a fully posable high quality doll with cheaply made clothes. Maybe it's just cause I make doll clothes so I can always make better clothes if I want, but the way I see it it's a lot easier to switch out clothes than to try to make a stiff limbed doll posable.
Whether or not Clawdeen is confirmed to be lesbian, I feel like she looks like she would be. I have no clue why, but she really seems like she would be 😅
Ghoulia was my fav because as a girl who hated school she showed me that do good in school is important and now I'm in college so if they don't bring back Ghoulia someone's car is getting swiss cheesed.

Gods I really hope the movies are based on the Lisa books! They were so good! Especially following the story of a new girl who discovers herself (no spoilers!) and how Frankie literally stood up against hatred and stereotypes. I still love the opening chapter where she over hears her parents talking about what she can and can’t do in the real world and she makes the comment “-body tensed at the sound of those words. How could someone else decide what she was capable of?” It filled me with shills when reading it! It’s such a great book!

I absolutely think that the quality of
Clothing is more important than articulation ! That’s prob why MGA has been hitting it out of the park with their releases and Mattel has been suffering. I really hope that monster high comes out with movies coordinating with their doll lines , I have really been getting into all their old movies . My daughter loves watching scarier reef movie ! And I want to collect all the dolls from that movie !

If they actually make Clawdeen and Draculara a gay couple I’ll be extremely disappointed. Clawd and Draculara where a couple I referenced my future relationship on and something I strived to have when I grew up so if Mattel goes that route instead of making a new gay character or making one of the characters who ISN’T in a committed relationship in the original show gay would be disgraceful to the original brand and pure bs to me! (Also this is coming as a bi woman who’d love to see mature storytelling with lgbtq characters but it better be done with the justice the original franchise deserves)
I like the articulation they had before. I am open if they edit the bodies thickness or wanted to experiment some on the bodies. Since Bratz are coming back, i don't mind getting those fashion packs for my older monster high dolls. I hope mostly to not become so overwhelmed by future releases. I missed out on a lot of dolls i didn't even know egsisted until it was way to late. As for the LGBT representation. If the company is scared to actually do it, fans are still open of making ships happen no matter the case, but on a flip side. If they did it from not a authentic place. Fans are ganna be upset if they notice that, and i don't know yet how the writers are going to adapt the characters yet. I would love to see old characters get explored but there isn't a garintee yet if the writting will have a great first impression, specially how the reboot will come out. Because we don't know how the dolls will be designed or shifting into a new era. I want to wait and see what comes out or leaks and try to keep an open mind. About what changes might happen.
I wish Draculaura would have that "Victorian Lolita style" outfit, I mean she's an upper class girl, daughter of a vampire count, I'd loveee to see Draculaura wear poofy cupcake skirts, pearl jewelries as such
