My team doesn't have left handers aswell and it's a massive problem. We have some in the u16s but haven't had any for a while in the seniors

Greece also has no lefties for years, but...

True, they overcame that disadvantage to get silver in Tokyo. Their first medal I believe, so let's see if they can sustain that.

@Shaquatics Water Polo we'll see. But I think USA will soon get the medal. Maybe not in Paris, but I am pretty sure in LA. Most of the players will be at their best. Except Bowen maybe. Hallock is already top 3 center. Few of them will sooner then later play in top CL teams. I think the future is bright for US water polo.

@@MFAJON I hope so. I like the guys on our team, I just think a good lefty would put us over the top. We also need to get it into our center more often. You're right, he's incredible.

No professional leagues, yes, that hurts us as well. Good point.

disagree. 2008 was the exception. real problem is lacking a professional league and loosing talents after college.

I feel like our talent is off the charts, we have some of the greatest shooters, our 2m man this past Olympics was awesome, we just couldn’t feed him enough, something that a lefty could also help with. A pro league would help no doubt.

@@ShaquaticsNet look at Serbia before Filip Filipovic. They were still sucessful without a lefty and had some great players on right side like Petar Trbojevic. If US youth teams are not in the top4 it will be difficult to catchup later. So while having a good lefthander is definetily a plus, I don't thins it's US waterpolo's main issue
