You can not make a right turn on red.
If you visit Iceland in winter consider going with tours. Some of the roads to cool places are illegal for rental cars to drive on. The weather is very changeable and can change from a clear day to whiteout conditions very quickly. There are many choices for mini tours that match your style and interests.
Thanks for the tips! 😄
You mentioned that your dad drove the entire trip, was there a crucial reason for that? Im thinking about driving in iceland with my family. My dad is getting old and he won't have the energy to do long drives, but i just found out i dont meet the age requirement (23, i am 21) to drive an SUV, which would bring a more comfortable experience :( do you know any solutions or exceptions that might apply? E.g., can i drive if my dad is always in the car with me? Or if there are car rentals that let 21 year olds drive SUVs
He drove since I cannot drive a manual. If 23 is the requirement, I doubt you will be able to get around it. I suggest contacting the rental agency directly.
