It may be a huge tourist destination but, it's such a phenomenal city. I love the set up and architecture of the city. The back alleys and twists and turns are part of the experience. I love the exposition you get into. I've honestly never been earlier than October. So I've never seen it this busy. Never got to Murano yet. Will be on the list next time.

You brought back so many memories for me! One of my favorite day trips I ever did was to Sirmione from Verona. The Castle is epic. The Lake and the views are phenomenal. Walking along the beach gave me flashbacks. There is a Roman archeological park on the very north tip that is worth a visit. The pizza looked delicious.

I am doing the same trip this August. I'm looking at the Tronchetto bus stop to take Flixbus. Do you recommend this stop in Venice or another Flixbus stop in Venice?

You and me both Rachael! Verona is my favorite city that I've been to in Italy so far. It's central to the North. The history and culture there is fantastic. The food is unique and amazing. Did not know about the Verona Card though. I've sort of winged it both times I've been there. You hit all the best spots.

Flex Busses are sometimes the best option. I traveled on one to Budapest one time and it was a great option for me.

Verona looks so beautiful with a lot of history and architecture. The Verona card is definitely a must do.
