Sketching in Berlin, Germany

In this video, Vladimir London, a Life Drawing Academy tutor (lifedrawing.ac...) makes a quick sketch, sitting on stairs of one of the museums. Drawing from life doesn't mean drawing only live people, it is about drawing whatever you see around you. Every day you will see many interesting things that can be a good subject for drawing. This sketch took only a few minutes. So, drawing from life doesn't require a lot of time; you can always make a sketch or two even if you have a five-minute break. It doesn't matter if your sketch is not perfect. It should not be. A fast sketch has a different purpose - to capture the moment, get an idea or inspiration, make a reference of the place and so on. Making sketches is a great way to practice drawing skills and drawing in pen and ink is ideal for that purpose because ink is not erasable and every line is final.
