You guys at the Drawing Art Academy's artwork is really masterful! I keep coming back to your videos just to admire your work. They.. how can I say it... "soothe" me by suspending my reality a little bit. That's the only thing I think that can qualify me as a layman to deliver an opinion. The fine details, the lines, the shading, lightening, volume and how everything works together for really breathtaking pieces of art. Just amazing! To think- I wasn't at all bothered with art before in my life. These days, I cannot get enough of it! I suppose it's that quality of "suspension" that I have recently discovered(turning 40 also helped :) ) I'm thinking of joining your course because I've begun to draw and it really satisfies and relaxes me.
I'd like to buy the drawing course, it seems very good. But, the US Dollar in Brazil is almost 6 times our currency. So, it becomes very expensive. I must wait :(
No, I mean you need to learn realism even if you want to develop a style and you can't take photos from your imagination you can only draw or paint it.
Realism is just a base for fine artist. There’s a difference from art as a abstract concept, and fine art. Fine art can depict a story, and that’s the difference.
Thankyou so so much for your videos! Just subscribed! Please do post more, I love your videos. I just want to reach a point where I can paint and draw what I exactly imagine. Basically paint my possible and impossible dreams. Keep up the great work

I agree that any good artist must be able to draw realistically. This means Matise, though famous, did not make the cut. Bonnard struggled with proportions, but I greatly admire him. Chagall is another who struggled. Picasso abandoned logic when he abandoned proportions. (I'm one who disdains most Modern Art.) Beauty was abandoned when Art Nouveaux was replaced with Art Deco.
Wow, way to be stuck up lmao Matisse's earlier works were realistic and he decided to change the way to express his vision. Purposefully ignoring the rules and being unable to comprehend them are two different things.
"Most Essential Skills every artist must have, number 1: be able to draw" Wow, what a great video let me pay for your art course immediately, you've convinced me.
Culture is passed from generation to generation. Without teachers and art lessons, artists would still be "cave artists" no matter how "talented" they are. Are you advocating to stop culture development?
You do not need to draw from life, you do not need to draw from memory and imagination, you do not need knowledge of proportions, etc. This is BS. The general outlines and placement of objects can be done with mechanical means. The art lies in the style which is the way the image is rendered, the result of the interaction of a specific sensibility with a specific medium. Two people can paint the exact same thing and one will suck and the other will be magical because of the way they laid the paint down.
Just curious, but is there a difference between what is offered in the Drawing Art Academy course and the Anatomy Master Class? If there is, may I ask what are they?
DrawingAcademy.com and AnatomyMasterClass.com are two separate courses with different content. Drawing Academy is good for learning fundamental drawing principles, while Anatomy master Class is for artists who already have drawing skills and want to improve figurative and portrait drawing fast

I don't think those cave artists took art lessons. They had talent.

i think i figured it out what's wrong with my skill.. Constructive Drawing...
