Glad to see you were able make adjustments yourself. Ive had nothing but problems with the empi and bbt label 34 pict 3 clones. Checked for valves, timing, correct distributor. New plugs,wires,coil. Will idle sometimes but just sputters out under load. Fuel pressure 2/2.5 lbs and have adjusted lower with no real difference. On the fence about whats next.
Useful bit of info: use a little Chap Stick or very thin coat of grease on your carb to manifold seal. Also very useful on the manifold to head seal on dual carb manifolds. It helps seal better and keeps the seal itself from sticking to the metal surfaces. When the time comes to replace, taking them out is a cinch.
