I say it's the king because of its easy maintenance when break down, can be use rough and tough, may not have all the modern off road tech but definitely the off road KING because of its reliability.

I wouldn't have thought so with the new one. It will be as complex as any other modern car....but built well, reliable rugged amazing cars!

There was talk a version with a 2 Liter diesel engine to be produced, but I never heard of it again. Jimmy would be a beast with at engine. But still not worth anything like $50K
Had my for almost three years it makes me smile every time I get in it😁 sadly they are in very short supply it’s a keeper 😎

I've just bought the 2022 Zukes after having owned a third generation for 8 years. The Jimny is in a class all of its own, taking on the big boys off-road and often faring better. I agree with your unbiased review. Manual is the answer and she is so responsive. As a driver , you are one with the car. I get some peculiar looks as I'm a 73 yr old granny and not what is expected in the cockpit!! I've had an MX5 but my Zuki wins the day❣️
i've been praying to the suzuki gods for the jimny to come to the US
not a chance. suzuki grew tired of americas sue culture. the moment this will be released in the US, Americans will call out the jimny's impracticality, underwhelming power, safety and prone to rollover. They will then point how inferior it is to a bronco,wrangler, or g-wagen like obviously, 🤭😂😂😂

Buy a house in Mexico, register your Jimny there, drive it across the boarder. Much easier.

In India, several people are waiting for this car since decade. The car is now being manufactured in India for other countries but they do not sell this cute 4x4 here. Very frustrating.
Hey, its not for everyone but I think this one's for me. Affordable 4x4, with a reliable brand, good service reputation and reasonable maintainenance cost

I have driven this car in Fiji forest for almost 20 days. I am impressed with the performance if compare to other big trucks.
This would sell off the charts in the USA. It is a hard top willy's jeep with over 30+ mpg at around 2000lbs.
Unfortunately won't come to US.
If it was sold in the US, this would certainly be the "it car" among midwestern & southern US High School kids.
Great little 4X4 I’ve had several drives perfect I recommend buying the manual as it has the power you need when on highways or off road one of the best little true 4wds on the market 🤙👍👌

I have this car now for a year and a bit. I'm not really offroading much, but the car is very fun on everyday driving too. You learn to go a bit slower (when cornering), but it's not that slow. It goes something like golf I diesel. So it can even make near 160 km/h, but it is not a good idea to go that fast for a long time. The engine is screaming. But than again, when you drive on normal roads with speed like other do (60, 80, 100), the car can go along easily and the fuel consumption is only 6,5L/100 km. And you can also overtake easily - 103 hp on 1100 kg is far from bad power to weight ratio. Also the engine is showing it's power like hell, I mean those ponys are very real, not only on paper. It is obvious that suzuki is a great motorcycle engines designer also, because I find this particulare engine great - lively but economic.
6.5 only? A girl I met once that has an auto one told me it guzzles up close to 12
@@lilalov1569 No way, it's an offroader with absolute smallest consumption of all, I think. Even in the city it's hard to come over 8/100.

@@bostjanerjavec4146 Agreed. I go on quite long drives on weekends in the Jimny in addition to my weekday driving (using approx. 3/4 of a full tank) and my weekly refuel bill is generally between $US40 - $50!
@@ruckusroke Yes, not expensive to tank at all and easy to maintain. And cheap too. A car for a lifetime.

Extremely reliable and easy to maintain functional vehicle, if Suzuki adds lockers to the rear, it will be untouchable off-road.
Jimmy’s are cool stock. Custom Grill, Big rubber and a huge stereo and they are untouchable cool. 😎

despite being a 'road tire' they handle pretty most everything, so far I've been able to match the same tracks with a jimny with A/Ts, mine is stock standard

Not only as Jungle King but also as City King. The only bad part is its too expensive for a small 4 x 4 in Malaysia. It cost us 168k.
That's cheap, in Kenya it's over 28k US dollars.

I have been driving the previous model and I found it to be noicy. I would like to use this car going from country to country outside europé where the roads not always are great but the noise inside the car will drive me nuts.

Good reviews but would be good to test it out on harder tracks with proper tyres. I'm surprised these don't ship with all terrain tyres. Cool vehicle tho
Suzuki do not offer all terrain tyres from factory but given its capabilities and performance out of the gates, it’s a beast.👌🏻

i really love this car. its the only car that is what i'm looking for: a small compact jeep.
but SUZUKI, if you're reading:
1. please tech up the jimny. PLEASE 😢
2. make it top notch luxury inside with comfortable and classy seats that ppl will be blown away
3. make the jimny faster
4. keep it small but give it good and classy backseats so it doesnt look like out of a 80s slasher movie
believe me, ppl will buy an offroader that can be a family car and offer luxury and comfort.
PS: i'm a die hard BMW fan and eyeing the X1. i'd take the jimny if the jimny would be what BMW is inside!!!

Wallace Motors in WA can direct import any current Jimny with only a 3 month wait time for approx AU$31K. No 1 year+ wait times.....
Was tempted to buy one a few years back, the power turned me off it. Another 30 or 40kw would make it much more liveable.
Same! they're releasing a longer wheel base model with 1.4 litre turbo and mild hybrid system in a year or two, but who knows how much that will cost.
That will never be released in Australia.

Older generation of Jimny i.e the Gypsy King in India has been serving the Indian Army for more then 10 years now , Even after the cars are been retired form the Army People still build them after buying from auction & go rallying & offroading till date !
