I’m part of a small re-enacting group near me, still have to turn 17 to actually be apart of it. But seeing go pro footage gives me a solid idea on what to expect.
How can I get into reenacting?
@@towerranch If there's any military museum in your area, check in with them to see if they have Reenactments or events that will or have happened. Then go to those events, and talk to the reenactors of your interest to join. Then of course, spend many years and money building up your kit depending on the era. I hoped this has helped.
@@dannyengineer9862 the only re-enactment I’m pretty sure my city has is battle of the Alamo one
@@CoburnSawyer Although this may sound strange, I live in Canada yet the group I joined is a 29th Infantry Division one based on the the 29th throughout Normandy. Canadian Group about the United States. If you look somewhere, or online; you could find something.
@@dannyengineer9862 thanks man
absolutely fantastic video! I congratulate you for the excellent shots! I'm from Italy and I'm exactly a re-enactor like you! where I come from (near the Giogo pass, Firenzuola) often a group I know organizes full living history events, the last one I attended was themed "hurtgen forest" with organized teams and continuous patrols and night patrols lasting 2 hours plus or less at 6 degrees with the typical icy wind of the pass! doing these events makes you realize the continuous suffering that American and German troops suffered during these operations…
Thank you! Hope you guys didn’t freeze too badly out on the line 🥶
I always get super immersed in the re-enactment videos because the action gives me some kind of a dopamine boost
This may sound strange but my favorite part about these reenactment videos is the weapon malfunctions 😂
Those photos look sick. I want to try doing one of these World War II reenactment myself.
That ping never gets old!
Best part about the M1
These are the best reenactment videos I have seen. Most of them that are taken from the crowds are kinda boring and full of kids talking, screaming, crying, etc. but these actually put you in the action! And the narration is appreciated too!
The acting of being dead in the Kübelwagen was very good tho. I would like to join one re-enactment event tho. Already have a German uniform, just need a MP-40 and a P38 hand gun. Nice stuff and content
I mean, usually soldiers that weren't high ranking officers, or some sort of support role usually didn't have side arms.
All gangsta until somebody uses live ammunition
dude I want to reenact stuff like this to but a few years to wait but thanks for the content man I love watching this and it's historical
You have taught me a lot about world war two thank you
Underrated, great work!
Thanks for this video!
Thank you for your videos! They are really cool! I always wanted to know. How do you record 'hits'? Do you guys just fall down when you think you could've been hit or do you use some kind of special ammo?
That's what I was thinking but they don't have eye protection. So I think they just fall when they think they got 'shot'
Love your videos!!!!
10:27 that’s me in the passenger seat of the Kuble. You guys got the drop on us big time.
*1:40** My God that ping is so good!*
That bazooka was so cool and I love your vids❤
Back in "the day" like in the 80's. Atterberry was a big tank battle every year. We the 4th and 14th armored would have two or three tanks and a haft track towing a 57 A.T. gun.
Just found your channel keep going I love your content even if the ytshorts are doing better we still love these longer vids
The stills at the end were frickin awesome!
You inspire me
Those photos are great!
More of these videos please !
That m1 garand ping is just so satsifying.
I love your videos
You are my favorite UA-cam
I would love to get involved in a reenactment before I am not able to. Looks like so much fun and I'm still in shape.
The gun sounds are so loud and the bullets look so metal and real
Hey I was just wondering what would you do or say if a fan came up to you during or before a reenactment?
I remember wanting to do this (but for the American Civil War) but I unfortunately never got the chance. It's so cool seeing this and for WWII!
I didn't know these existed before I watched your channel! Now I low-key want to do it but I bet there are no in Germany :') and other problems as well. Atleast your channel is a pretty good place to watch these!
I’m sure you could find some non-world war reenactments where you are!
@@carrott36 Or at least WW1 era stuff, WW2 reenactment would be a big no no in Deutschland but WW1 i think is acceptable iirc
ww2 reenactment in germany 💀💀💀
Many WW 2 groups through out Germany and Western Europe. I hope you can find one, A weekend reenactment is a blast of serious history
jaaaa, nicht in deutschland mein freund.....
This is so cool! What happens to all that spent brass? Do you go back and collect it after?
Thank you! Since we were on a military base here we left our brass, but I’d guess they have some method of cleaning it up periodically because they do a lot of blank fire training in this area. For public events where there is a crowd watching, they often let the kids pick up the brass as souvenirs after the battle. Those kids clean it up in no time 😂
@@WorldWarWisdom Haha that's great! I was wondering about it from a cost perspective, like if you are loading your own blank rounds the brass must add up. Nice to think each ejected casing could be picked up by a kid and become their inspiration to one day get involved in re-enacting and history!
@@WorldWarWisdom I went to one in North Florida recently and I am kicking myself for not running in there with the kids and picking up a .50 BMG cartridge, and I'm 25 😂
I keep seeing you on Tik tok really cool to see you here! 😊😊😊😊
This was a perfect reenactment
I’m really new to this stuff and it sounded like full auto guns were beings used, I was wondering what the rules were on those. Just kinda interested thanks!
Wow looks amazing! I want to go one time
What projectiles do you use?
Keep it up!
That was awesome! I wish I was 40 yrs younger as I would have loved to participate. New subscriber looking forward to next video! Thank you so much for sharing this.
Perhaps you could still come participate one way or another. It really is pretty cool.
Yeah man, as long as you can handle it you should be able to do it brother
some reenactment groups are laid back on the requirements to participate. It just depends on the type of groups.
2:24 "That's a clever way to do a camera!" And now I really want to know how you do it without it being obvious you've got a camera nestled into your helmet. Please teach me your wisdom, oh great WW2 sensei
My grandma used to work at Camp Atterbury
Been considering trying reenacting when I get older. I’ve got my own Garand, but I feel like I’d get slapped for bringing it to a WWII even since she’s a postwar example
Don't worry man, the others most likely won't get a pissy over a post war garand
At least I have a period correct M1 bayonet for it
The m1 grand noise 😫😩
New subscriber here
Where do you get your M1 blanks? I notice your blanks are flat at the end with red but the ones I ordered are crimped at the end.
Is firing crimped blanks okay or do I need to purchase the blanks you purchase? PLEASE respond soon. I’ve been trying to find out where to get blanks for my m1 but I can’t find any info on who or where to actually get them.😩
This video has a satisfying amount of M1 Garand pings!
Will you do a reenacting 101 series
He needs a hug he looks depressed
Amazing!
This is another way how we can understand what our great grandfather's been though back in the day...
Looks like yall had all the fun. We were on the other side fighting the brits and poles.
Great gameplay good quality
Hey wisdom, Will you be at Jefferson Barracks this year?
Can you make a video about Moody Air Force Base and the Flying Tigers
I’m curious, what camera do you use for this? I’ve always wanted to record my perspective of a Reenactment
He wears a go pro under his helmet by his ear, he did a short on it a bit ago
This reenactment more so reminds me of like a Airsoft game compared to your other reenactment videos I've seen on your channel which looked more like for show. Both are cool.
are they using real bullets I don't know
@@kathytalanges8462 they use blanks, or maybe you meant they were real, but were blanks.
@@GlorifiedIdiot-lg8wh okay thanks for telling me I just get confused
Epic Braydon Jenkins Bazooka footage
Do blanks kick as hard as real ammo vid PLZ
just wondering, those little magazines for your m1-garand, do you reuse them? and how much do they cost?
Where'd you order your gear from, I've been wanting to do this but only got the uniform+back pack(forgot what it was called) and canteen down, but that's it!
This mad cool fr , should do more of these. Maybe from the German perspective too
how is your gopro attached?
I have a question, where do you get your equipment from
Hey wisdom, Im 21 and I'm wondering what kind of guns and what I need to use to participate.
What clip do you use to mount your helmet gopro?
This stuff looks real good, but I do wonder how the safety stuff comes up with using blanks? Like yeah obviously since no bullets are being used you're not going to actually hit anyone at a distance, but a blank can still do real damage up close or even kill so I feel that's a potential health and safety risk say if someone runs in front of your line of fire or something point blank.
I mean, im sure they sign some sort of contract, and also are probally shown the proper safety techniques for, y'know, safety.
Great event! Can't wait till next time!
Love the videos that you post also !
@@johnbarnett7092 thanks!
Bro the noise from the tank is scary as f-
Sooo epic bro
Could you tell us how your camera is mounted?
I want to see you & your troop supporting armor.
i saw in another video that you mentioned you went to a museum in Columbus and you also went to the d-day reenactment here. are you from ohio? i was looking into getting into reenacting and wasnt sure if you knew any good groups in northern ohio
Now I want to try ww2 re-enactments myself but I don’t have any gear lol
These reenactments are so cool, I wish I was a part of one. Also, how do you know if you were hit from a person if you don't see them shoot you?
How often do you get Garand Thumb?
How do you guy fell it if you git hit because in one of the parts you reload your m1 grand i looks like it has no bullet in the case of the bullet so how do you fell it pls answer or make a video about what im saying in my comet love your vids:).
So how would you know if you hit someone or got hit? I’m new to this channel awesome content btw 👍🏻
well if you saw blood coming out of you, you knew you hurt?
Question how do u get the cam like that. I can’t use a go pro so I need to find another way. It’s for the gothic line airsoft in Missouri.
I would not want to go into battle with that bazooka guy…..
How did you strap you camera to your helmet
Where do you find these events?
wierd question, what happens to the cartridges after they are fired? they are made of metal so are they expensive or can you just throw them out
"Flashback"
Holy crap.
Please do another event
I started watching this channel for history stuff, but have gotten more and more into reenactment stuff. My main question is how do you know if you are hit? I know they don’t use real rounds and it doesn’t sound like an airsoft sort of thing
They use blanks and most the time you decide to get "hit" and fall if you want. Other times it is scripted deaths and you fall when you are supposed to. Hope this helps
@world war wisdom how do you if you are hit if they are shooting blanks
I have a few questions
1. how old do you have to be to do these?
2. where do you do these?
3. where do you get the gear?
Thanks!
Most groups start at around 16-18
@@PolskiKrajowa yo!! Thank you so much! that helps a lot.
I wish I lived in America, you sure are making good use of all the events there though! Keep up the great videos!
You can just go
If you live in the uk you have several options like yorkshire wartime experience although there are spectators
@@william5666 I live in Ireland lol
@@Karincl7 does money exist?
You should use a mp-40 it would be sick
as a guy under 16, and living in ontario canada, where are some good spots for reenactments? i wanted to see if dday ohio was open or any reenactments in upstate new york or that area. all i want is some upcoming reenactments i can be a medic for in my vicinity (1 day roadtrip about).
When the half track sees you💀
Imagine if you were able to get run over by a tank in this
What bullet or what kind if gun are you using? I know is not airsoft and a real gun. But am just new to this
Cool stuff how do you know if you've been shot though if their blanks
Hey, I am a fellow WW2 reenactor and I was wondering where you were out of?
I never seen an re-enactment like this before! What are they using for bullets? How do you know when you've been hit?
that's what i want to know
they fire blanks, they probably choose to die or smth
@@jetplanewastaken saw someone use rubber bullets in the re-enactment, got hit and it hurt a shitton but thats a way to know youre hit
@@F.B.I ooh ok
@@F.B.Ithat's a great way to get sued.
It's amazing to think how many rounds of munitions of all calibre didn't hit anyone or anything of importance and were wasted in suppression and just trying to hit someone or something. I bet 20% of rounds fired in ww2 actually hit their mark.
waaay less
Im a youtuber myself and i showed my grandfather this video and he told me this reminded him of that time he was in Belgium and he was all alone he got lost from his group and he stumbled upon a line of german tanks, one is a king tiger and 3 are panzer IV and he decided to pick up a abandoned panzerschreck and shot the PZ IV At the side armor causing the tank to burn and explode he said it looked horrifying he actually saw the germans gathering around the burning tank questioning what caused it to explode.he said that if he targeted the king tiger he would've never evermade it out of that dangerous and also heroic incident, after that he eventually found another US Lost soldier and they just continued trying to find the other US Soldiers and he said it took them 16 days to find a US Squadron. He said he was so hungry he was starting to act like a psychopath and he mentioned to me that if he spent 4 more days out there he would've gon crazy. This really shows the traumatising moments of war and my grandfather said the deaths are traumatising but the trauma itself is the killer.
Respectable grandfather, My grandfather was a US soldier at Leyte gulf in the Philippine campaign fighting the Japanese army.
