im a great admirer of kumite-focused karate styles, and the fact that George Best simply managed to *block* Kagawa's mawash and land zukis and mawash himself onto him, is pure friggin awesomenes... That Enoeda school was something legendary indeed...
Looking forward to the training session in Solihull in June as part of Ruach clubs and Ronnie Christopher. Some seriously good kumite going on old school style!
ComplexBlackness: The US had some good ones like My teacher Errol Bennett and others like Hawk Frazier and Tom Lapuppet (you can look them up), but the bulk of the best fighters are not only from the UK, passed through the famous Marshall Street Dojo.
The Red Triangle was the true breeding house of talented U.K. kingdom Shotokan fighters & produced a lot more than the legendary Marshall st dojo ! The Red Triangle goes back from the 1960's up to 1990's with too many great karetka's to mention .
Just realised how lucky I am to have George best as a karate sensei ! He can probably still do most of this at the age he is now!
Same

Awesome! Excited to train with you tomorrow at Red Sun, Manchester.
This man had a Kizami Tzuki (Jab punch) that rivaled Frank Brannen's and few people picked up on it.
Low bow with deepest Respect! REI/OSU!
Great!!!!
And no one talk about him much..
Seems like the British had the best overall Shotokan Fighters.
