Big Toontracks fan. Such a great aid in songwriting. So happy there is a Double Bass. Will pick it up tomorrow to add to my bass collection. Thanks for sharing.
I already have EZ bass but had no idea this great uprightbass was just released and today I did a search for an upright bass vst and this great new expansion comes up.
Bought it too, looking forward, or at least wish, for some midi packs for country/bluegrass and rockabilly. Haven't had the time so sit down and work with it yet but soon will. Love their products for my songwriting...
I wonder how it will act and sound in a more rock 'n roll / rockabilly kind of project, as I can hear there's only steel string and no gut string, so curious about that.
@MichaelHattem well, that would only be midi data, no different sound. If we would like a gut string upright for rockabilly etc, they would have to record a completely new instrument with gut strings obviously... But with some tweaking you can get real, real close with this one.
@@JackieTrippsTheMemeLord Well, it's mostly a lot of EQ-ing until the sound is right, en for the slap I use a different midi track where I draw the midi notes for the slap (click) so I can full EQ both independent form one another. It's a hassle and takes some time, but eventually, you'll get there somewhat. Unfortunately you'll never get the sticky slap bass sound of an upright with gut strings. MODO Bass (by IK Multimedia) has a gut string upright in there, but even that is far from a real gut string rockabilly upright sound. I guess it's very tough, guess you would really need a rockabilly bass player to play these slapped bass lines for Toontrack or IK and make a separate Virtual Instrument out of that. But I reckon the market for that is too niche. So for now, we keep on tweaking and trying to get there with the tools we have. Same goes for pedalsteel guitar, it's almost impossible to get a realistic sound from a software instrument pedal steel, I tried a few but they were all horrible and a real hassle to play or draw and get a realistic sound. Nearly impossible.
The Ezbass line just sound amazing the upright and fretless are unbelievably good

Cheers. It would have been nice to hear the Fretless MIDI running through the Upright and vice-versa.

finally and upright that sounds as good as Trillian
This thing sounds so much better
Is it upright if it’s laying on its side?

Hoping they come out with a rockabilly MIDI expansion.

@@supersonicsrootshey, I’m currently working on a project for my uni. Could you please describe me what kind of tweaking that’d require?
