Costume. Elaborate, and requires multiple people. Expensive as well... Still damn awesome. I can see how it works. If you look at the back of his legs, the "pipes" are actually pants, and the arms are situated in the right spot for a human to stick his arms through holes under the shoulder plates. A second person is sitting nearby taking sound instructions from the person in the robot. Though the sound of the movement is made by sensors in the limbs and other moving parts. i want one...
Aside from the fact someone is inside, let's not pretend this still isn't cool. Not to mention, let's not act like technology hasn't advanced. It's all over you tube. I still enjoyed this.

As soon it start singing "I see trees of green" I got a cool movie scene idea. Imagine the whole scene starts like in the video but in the movie it is a real robot but people still don't take it seriously and think everything I fun and games. Then when "Wonderful world" starts playing it's am turns into a weapon and people are fascinated then as soon it starts singing "I see trees of green" it just starts mowing down all the audience. Meanwhile you see clips of its ai memory of people ruining nature with trash. If the robot turns on humans at that moment or the creater programmed it that way I can't decide. But I picture it would be a cool and powerful scene.
I think a man is inside of the robot-looking costume. Reasons: 1) The shoulder articular center is too lower than the robot's shoulder armor. The shoulder height is almost same with male adults' average. The designer didn't need to attach the shoulders at that height. 2) I actually saw the inside between the armor plates at a very close distance , and there were no mechanical things. I could only see a solid body wrapped with rubber tubes. If this be a real robot, it should have a lot of maintenance holes and windows inside. 3) There is coated-glass window exactly at the height of adult man's eyes.
