I remember growing up in the Philippines in a small town south of Cebu city. Every Saturday night there would be an impromptu program in my family’s frontyard and all the elementary kids were encouraged to participate, whether it be dancing or singing or other abilities they want to do. Mostly, the boys and girls, usually choose to sing. Many of them have naturally great voices. Their talents along with their dreams ended right there because there were no opportunities for them to showcase their talents. Now, it’s a totally different situation. We have nation-wide and/or world-wide singing contests, we have you tube, and social media that reaches the four corners of the world. I do hope these talented people can be given the opportunities that they deserve. Thank you for recognizing their talents and introducing them to the whole world! -Ava
