- We had this Maruti Suzuki Brezza, visit one of our MotoFyx car repair workshop, with a rather unfortunate concern relating to that of flood water ingress. The recent heavy onslaught of the rains ended up affecting the car, with significant flood water ingress inside the car, leaving the car’s interior floor carpets soaking wet.
Since the floor carpets were soaking wet with flood water, they started emitting foul odour as the flood water around the car slowly started receding.
Left in a rather helpless spot, due to the heavy rains, the car owner reached out to us for immediate assistance.
Upon a detailed inspection of the car by our expert technicians, despite the car having a rather high ground clearance, flood water had managed to enter inside the car thereby soaking the car’s floor carpets wet. Considering significant flood water ingress with puddle formation inside the car, dismantling the floor carpets was the only viable option.
*Process:
- The externally puddled flood water was first vacuumed out
- The center console, electric couplers along with both front and rear seats were dismantled
- The floor carpets including the cushioning foam were removed and kept to dry
- Water accumulated across the chassis floor was drained out via the drain holes located at the bottom of the car
- The dried floor carpets along with the cushioning were reinstalled
- The center console along with both front and rear seats were assembled back
- Complete interior cleaning and sanitisation was performed
