Awesome! If there was a production Pacifica with maple fingerboard, reverse unpainted headstock, HSS pickups, trem and locking tuners like this, I'd have a hard time not buying one. Beautiful playing as always Paul.
So ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ... Yamaha built that incredible instrument. You played it just as incredibly sounding.i love Pacificcas and Revstars and Yamaha Acoustics..It's Yamaha ,They make everything great..I need a custom shop Yamaha..
Cómo me alegra saber que Yamaha esté haciendo nuevos modelos y dando más valor audio visual a sus productos. He usado por más de 20 años esta marca y siempre me pareció exquisita. Gracias Yamaha. Espero ver pronto el modelo David Palau!
Are these customs, like this one or the Chris Buck's Revstar, available to public? I mean, are these signature products or more like showroom specimens?
That's really neat how when he painted the body, it was a hardtail, even though it came off the cnc as a trem body, and the final gtr also had a trem. 😎🤓🤷♂️🤔🧐
please put out a telecaster style pacificas again! i know you have those phil x prototypes gathering dust somewhere. you'd double the interest in your sales because not everyone wants a strat style guitar but with the options you offer on them... its a no brainier
the 90s yamaha pacifica guitars were fantastic. todays variations are great stuff for the money. that said, i wish id see those neck joints from the 90s with the aluminum bracket again. they were almost as comfortable as the washburn n4 stephens cutaway. those awesome inlays on the 1230 models were unique too and i dont think there were any manufacturers sticking carbon rods in guitar necks in those days. those awesome 80s colors and the reverse headstock necks should come back too! oh and judging from the clips in this video, theres a lot of custom shop one offs you guys have around we haven't seen-shame on you!
I'm an American who has been living in Japan since 2014 (2nd time around, but that's another story for another time!), and I consider myself fortunate in the case of searching online for high quality used guitars, be it Yamaha, Ibanez, ESP, or other brands. Yeah, when the Pacifica line was new, Yamaha started out with some really high-spec models, but over time backed off from all those premium features.
I'd just like it if Yamaha offered Pacificas with more maple fretboards (and the SOB color just a shade more toward cream). It's annoying to see such a combination relegated to the 112 series and only available from stores in Japan as the 600+ series are draped in tired over-hyped colors and features that every other brand already floods the market with. There was once a time Yamaha didn't do that.
I'm a bit of a gear connoisseur you could say, instead of owning 10 or 15 guitars I concentrate on having a very high quality collection of say 4-5 guitars max, usually less. The Yamaha policy of selling at best mid-range factory stuff to the public while showing off exciting and cool custom guitars that only their staff players can get is odd, stupid even. Why even show stuff to people that they can't buy? "Look here's our custom guitars with some really cool and beautiful features, now go buy that cheap guitar instead"...? Weird. I guess it's still Fender CS, ESP, Music Man and Tom Anderson for me.
Pacifica LOOKS BETTER with that REVERSED HEADSTOCK. Yamaha better consider to put reversed headstock-model on PRODUCTION. Moreover, the advantages of the reversed headstock is that you can TUNE your guitar quickly while playing it.

Love Yamaha Guitars ...
Super Strat and Lighter than a Strat ....

Love this Pacifica but I’ll bet we’ll never see a production model.
Yamaha Hindmarsh 812. Amazing guitar. Definitely top 5 material.
Congratulations on the signature 👏

Im buying what to me is a perfect guitar, my taste of choice, indeed. Congratulations. Looking forward to see the release
Would absolutely love to see both this guitar and Chris Buck's custom shop Revstar released as signature models in regular production.
I like Chris Buck’s Golden Top P90 setup revstar!
Man!! I love your Pacifica! Why won’t Yamaha make a version of it available? Love the reverse headstock, everything about it.
Yamaha! Please make this guitar, even if its just a limited run.
How do we get one!
gotta' love paul, awesome dynamic player!
What is that guitar at 2:00?
Revstar Prototype
@@kouham420 too bad they didn't stick with that single-cut design
So...how do I custom my Pacifica?
but where can you buy these Pacifica custom shop ? I find this gray with maple fingerboard wonderful!!!!
Are these customs, like this one or the Chris Buck's Revstar, available to public? I mean, are these signature products or more like showroom specimens?
Specimens. Not custom shop stuff
When will there be a twin humbucker, top of the range, trem or no trem, Pacifica? PLEASE?!
Has the roasted neck thing run its course?
Many years later there is still no production Yamaha with a similar pickguard instead on the falic shaped Pacifica 112. Makes me sad
Where can I find this model?
Where can i buy this model?
where to buy
Does this one finally have an adult size nut or is it still the narrow 41mm you put on all Pacificas?
That's really neat how when he painted the body, it was a hardtail, even though it came off the cnc as a trem body, and the final gtr also had a trem. 😎🤓🤷♂️🤔🧐
Prototype model per the disclaimer 🤦🏼♂️
@@MrStevonavich, I wasn't watching that closely. 🤷♂️
It's a beautifull Guitar!!!!!
Congratulation Paul - what a great build. Now put some stainless steel frets on it and make it a production model!
i want to customize guitar
How to order a yamaha custom shop guitar?
please put out a telecaster style pacificas again! i know you have those phil x prototypes gathering dust somewhere. you'd double the interest in your sales because not everyone wants a strat style guitar but with the options you offer on them... its a no brainier

When and where can I get a copper scratch plate for my 611 HFM? Cheers 😁👍

Y’all need to stop teasing us with all these custom, reverse head stock, satin Pacifica models. Pitter patter!
So is it still a Pacifica? Ya know, considering Variax and other measurements...
Just bring back the Bill Leverty banana Pacifica with a Floyd Rose! Or even the Michael Lee Firkins red model.

So, it's kinda-sorta-sideways a cherry-picked from the best Yamaha hits and bits Frankenstrat!
I still don't know who Paul is, I'm sure its a great guitar, but too many strat shapes to compete with
