I would tend to agree with you on this. Just seeing the prototype for the Rev star has me wishing that they had released that instead of what they have now 😫
I am trully amazed at the prototypes that did not make it to the market...it seems that there is a second Yamaha company deep in the storage rooms waiting for something to emerge fro the past....bring 4-5 of those out and I will bet that Yamaha stock shares will go through the roof!!!
Question: I have an erg121 since 2003. it has jumbo frets on the first 5 frets and goes up to Narrow ones on the last ones (17 to 22) Is this common on current production of Yamaha? Or where else can I find another guitar with that?

Creí que ya no hacían más guitarras a nivel masivo.
“Piano wood”?? That could be a few things depending on what part of the piano you mean. I’m going to just guess maple if it’s heavy, and leave it at that.
The Yamaha SG (3000?) with all the inlays also looked to have the milky finish clouding that so many of the SG2000 models had? So Yamaha had the same problem with the guitars they kept!
The golden era for Yamaha is when Warmoth was making necks for then. Don’t think you can call Warmoth and get one, I tried. The specs were destroyed and they are not legally allowed to reproduce an exact copy.
Why oh why didn't they release the prototype version of The Rev star is beyond me. In my opinion it looks way better than what is currently on the market.
High end and custom shop made Yamaha guitars and basses are killer no doubt, but the Indonesian made guitars are so so on quality, they are hit or miss. Yamaha you should take the quality control more serious on those models. Or you get what you pay for, right?
I have not experienced that. All the Indonesian Yams I own have been exceptional quality, no duds. In fact, I might argue that the build-quality is one of the best I've seen at almost every price point from mid-range and up as compared to most brandsThe Revstar builds are excellent. But you maybe correct, I'm sure a few duds have escaped like anywhere else.
6:00 Can't believe this hasn't been released. Let's go Yamaha!
Please release the singlecut Revstar!!!
Please yamaha reissue those awesome instrument again.. ❤❤❤, i own bb bass and it was 💯 percent awesome ❤
Best guitar video in the history of Yamaha! Super sad that this is not a production version.
RGX A2... One of my favourite instruments...
Bring back the RGZ 621 & 821s, please!!! Best super strats ever!
One of my bucketlist guitar to get is the Yamaha SG2000.
7:41 similar to my first guitar... 1992... RGX521... still here, but with EMGs now 😎
Why isn't there any affordable Tele series from yamaha anymore? A Telecifica would look great beside my Stratcifica. :)
I've been wondering the same. I've got one of the cheaper ones and it's great, but I'd like a one with a trem. The Pacifica 1221m looks killer! :-)
The chrome RGX A2 is AWESOME!!!
Awesome guitars in there!!! Love the green one with the graffitis!!!
Why some of these designs didn't came out?
Why Yamaha made most of this cool stuff..and they keep for themself 🤔
My thoughts exactly. Some of that was way ahead of its time too

Yamaha please release some SGV designs again!
Does this shop have the ritchie blackmore prototype signature guitar from 1978? 5 min 18 is similar to the rb sig guitar.
Plz bring back the flying samurai guitar. I want one so bad.
Wow, some amazing prototypes. Look amazing. Does anyone know we I could find a spec sheet for the old Yamaha Se series?
yes..just YES
4:09 gsx 33bが65年の物なのに(元になったデザインモデルがあるにしろ)今に通じるデザインしててかっけえてなってる欲しいw

That one at 3:26 is amazing
What effects are being used in this backing track? It sounds kind of ring modulated, but not quite.

I got some acoustic do thy older thy get thy sound better ?
The MSG /Image are best guitars Yamaha ever made period.
Why Yamaha doesn't make seven-string and eight-string electric guitars?
Yamaha may be number 2 in the field of motorcycles, if not number 1. but they should be at the top of the world's guitar manufacturers
Yamaha please bring back the EX, VX, and BX1 lines.
7:15 You don’t recognize birds when you see them?
Is there any shredder electric model from yamaha?
Surprised he didn't find, or review, a Blues Saraceno Model guitar. 😥
I'll take one of everything please !

We need a yamaha telecaster. We need it bad
Damn, if they released that prototype Revstar I think it would sell better than what Revstar is currently producing right now.
Love that Revstar! I would have one immediately.
Oh lord that thing is beautiful
🤘🤘🤘
