Sir, some says that to play 'Pa', one can remove the finger off the 'Ma' while others closed. Is that a correct technique? Will there be a difference in sound of 'Pa'?

sir, when i try to play the pa in my F# bansuri, i get the pa dhun...but then inbetween a more base tune comes up. why is it so? I am a beginner in bansuri.
