    I ordered the Boog because the wooting 80he and the Keychron Q1 HE (the other HE keyboards I was interested in) are months away from being shipped and I needed something now. The build and the sound of it is constantly praised so I'm looking forward to it but there are some things I wish It had that wooting does, like support for having keys mimic analog stick sensitivity so I could walk in single player games with the key lightly pressed. A knob would have been nice for volume like on the keychron but not really necessary, keychron has wireless support as well but also not something I completely need but would've been nice to have. There's also no risers on the board to change the angle if you need to (the wooting will have interchangeable silicone feet to change the angle). I'm not even sure if I could have a key have 2 functions depending if I bottom it out or tap it lightly with the Boog web client (the wooting has that customizability with the software I believe). If you just care about rapid trigger then the boog is better since its built so much better while cheaper and to get a metal case with the 80he it costs like ~$300. If the wooting shipped now, I would probably grab it over the boog since there's more options I can do with the Hall effect switches but that's just me.

      Maybe, but you gotta wait 5 months to find out. By that point, there will be better alternatives. You gotta remember, mechanical keyboards are about to die off entirely. Hall Effect is the future and everyone knows it. The switches and operation is more efficient, and they allow for way more tailorized operation. I've spoken to several switch reps this year and ALL OF THEM have said they are shifting their future focus to producing new Hall Effect varieties because just as I said, "it's the future".

      the boog is for people who truly care about sound and feel of a keyboard. to get the wooting to sound on custom keyboard enthusiast level you have to get the module version, aluminum case, jade switches (or raptors), lube/tune the stabilizers, burger mount for typing feel, etc. Time, money, and effort to get the sound and feel on keyboard enthusiast level. Meanwhile the boog75 has near perfect stabs, lubed switches, gasket mount, and sounds and feels on keyboard enthusiast level out of the box.
      I have tried 7 HE keyboards now and the boog75 is the best HE by far if you care about sound/feel, all without having to do any modding. Wooting 80he has potential but the zinc version is so pricey + who knows if the stabilizer/switch QC will be as good as meletrix's boog75. If someone is in the custom keyboard space, the wooting is definitely not the best option. For pure gaming, yes it is the best.

    • @sumptuoustub6115

      @@nezu1657 for people like you I don’t like MK community, this is a GAMING KEYBOARD, if you “truly care about sound and feel” just buy a custom kb. As you said at the end of your comment, people buy Wooting for performance, saying that it’s “expensive” making the wooting sound “good” that’s subjective and even without that just with jade switches it’s enough; 60HE + Jade switches has almost same price of boog75 with the plus of having the best software/hardware. If you want to customize it even more that’s a decision of every person not a must.

      @@sumptuoustub6115 I have many custom keyboards… I also game. I also have multiple HE keyboards including the wooting. Boog sounds/feels the best out of the bunch. Wooting performs the best. I literally said that wooting is the best if you want a gaming only keyboard. excuse me for being into custom keyboards and wanting a certain sound and feel on an HE board lol. the comment is literally saying that the wooting isn’t the best if you also are into custom keyboards and want a certain sound and feel. It is the best for gaming. People can want different things lmao. Some want a gaming keyboard that they can also make sound better and some want an enthusiast keyboard that also has great gaming performance. Some want to mod a wooting and put effort into making it sound good. some want a lubed and tuned HE board out of the box. It’s weird that my opinion makes you dislike a part of the community. that’s why it’s a community in the first place. everyone has their preferences. it would be a pretty boring and mundane community if everyone preferred the same things.

      I have all 3 and it is a solid option. software is a bit cluttered but it does the job. stabilizers are pretty shit out of the box and definitely need some modding to be usable. boog75 sounds near perfect right out of the box. daily driving the boog bc I see no competitive advantage using the wooting60he in my valorant gameplay. I definitely prefer a better sounding and feeling board over a 3ms input delay decrease with the wooting. wooting can definitely get close to boog75 with the module version and jade switches, but that will cost much more time and money. Akko mod007b definitely a great middleground for custom but still solid gaming performance. Great price when compared to both other options.

    Ok Boardzy, I usually agree with quite a lot of what you say, but the comment that the BOOG 75 is just not going to perform at the same level as the Wooting, is anecdotal. You said it yourself, it “feels” faster, like you are on a lower ping. That is subjective at best and outright deceiving at worst. If you have empirical data to back up those statements, then provide it, if not, you need to caveat your comments with noting that this is your experience with the keyboard and as always, your mileage may very. I really like my wooting, and it plays great in game, but I can find no discernible difference in perfomance between the BOOG 75 and my Wooting. The only thing I will say, the smaller Wooting is more comfortable to play with, but sacrifices keys outside of gaming. I am willing to use the BOOG 75 daily so I don’t have to lose the keys, or switch between keyboards all the time. Thanks for all you do and all the reviews you give to us!

    • @boardzy
      @boardzy  5 місяців тому +3

      Obviously I am talking about my subjective experience like I do with all products. The testing on boards like with the same gtech PCB (EGG, polar65, many others) has been published and this is not a unicorn that will magically use the same components and perform much better. Saying wooting has the best tech and lowest latency has never been controversial or deceiving and never will be. These companies admit it themselves lmao

  • @SLSAMG
    @SLSAMG 3 місяці тому

    Amazing keyboard. Input devices should never be underestimated; these are things with which you engage on a regular basis, and they may make or break your experience. It makes typing/gaming a lot more pleasurable. That being said, I believe Meletrix is undercutting themselves with this board. Quality is equivalent to customs retailing for $600 or more, and this is not hyperbole.

    How you managed to emit 60 metric tons of pure yappium within 7 minutes and 23 seconds is beyond me.
    The Boog75 uses the same GTech PCBA and Gateron switches as the boards you “disliked” in your other video. Probably the same stabilizers, switch plate and dampening material too. The “build quality” of nearly all those boards is objectively better than Wooting’s 60HE is (case material(s) and switches). Wooting objectively has better firmware, features, warranty and keycaps. Also, how in the world did you manage to get your 60HE to rattle more than it does stock?

      I am right about most of its components being identical to the other boards as I’ve seen it disassembled. I’ve also tried the ATK75, 68 and other made up keyboards that don’t even exist.
      I stated the pros and cons of both Wooting’s HE boards and others.

    The gtech oem HE keyboards with the closest performance to wooting are probably drunkdeers stuff and the vgn/vxe atk68/atk75 (same brand behind the vxe r1 pro). They have their own firmware so are basically ahead of the competition by quite a bit, atk has the best performance overall though vs the oem boards. I LITERALLY JUST ORDERED THIS IN WHITE 2 WEEKS AGO. Ok so saying it's NOT better than Wootings is highly misleading, it has better sound (has a deep thocky OEM sound out of box), better PCB structure (accepts HE or standard mechanical switches), better stabilizers, better OEM keys, comes full aluminum, has perfect weighted balance and key press feel, and finally this has the new Gateron KS-37B switches Vs the 20 series found in the Wootings and Keychron Q1 HE. Did I mention the software is PURE web based for the Meletrix (you do NOT have to download garbage software and the web based is GOOOOOOOOOOOOD). So it's like 9.99/10 for Meletrix while my Wootings 60HE is like 8/10 for me. You have to invest another $180 - $250 just to get it on par with the BOOG75. I had to buy a $180 aluminum case and buy $40 in plates and foam mods just make my wootings sound and feel -almost- as good as the BOOG75. On-lookers can remain skeptical, but if you held the BOOG75 or a ZOOM75 in your hand and typed on it, you would know what I am talking about. Meletrix builds quality keyboards.
