"lets do what you can't do on the road but at a track like this" - EXCEPT YOU CAN'T - they don't allow people to drift on trackdays, anywhere, and you get told off. (even on an EVO track day at Bedford). So not actually possible to have this kind of fun unless you rent the whole track to yourself.
Most trackdays I've been to the organisers have been happy for me to go sideways lol. I think if they can see you're almost losing control etc then they'll be likely to flag you but if clearly in control and smooth slides I've never been black flagged or anything
Bedford noise levels for track days are low. My mate got kicked off at Bedford years ago in he’s B5 RS4 ! Not exactly a loud car ! So I’ve never bothered with Bedford.
When I had a bit of a slide at Bedford, I got a No Drifting flag. It’s a bland circuit at best. There are much better value airfield days, where you can at least have an exhaust on your car.
@@Chris-jt4ux I doubt it’d be much different in the dry. Go look at Mr. JWW’s video of the 718 GT4 - Torrential rain and standing water everywhere, but the car is balanced and progressive.
Step one: trade it in for an M2 CS. This is a marketing joke of a video series. The days where M5's were dynamically interesting cars are long gone. SMH
The M5 Competition is all the car you’ll ever need.
And all the bills I don’t
That’ll be the 530d
Over 3/4 of a tank of fuel and a range of
Excellent vid. Really nice production and Slim Sutcliffe at the helm. Car's not bad either. What more do you want?
I'd love to see Steve caning a new M3 Xdrive around here :)
Great to see Steve back on camera. Great video series.

He said exactly that. Keep watching. He does state that you can't do big drifts at track days or you will get red flagged.
Or just do it on the last session. I didn’t tell you that. Thank me later.
If only they let us do this when we go to Bedford!
Yes.
Yes.
Complètement à la hauteur du mythe.... Fantastique. (et toujours familiale.... et utilisable chaque jour....).
Should've got the one with yellow day time running lights
It doesn't exist yet.

Been looking forward to this....

Why was this series split up into so many parts, in such short videos, so far apart? It has derailed the momentum of watching it
Steve “Utterly” Eutcliffe
How to drive a bmw m5 cs properly u ask ?
Switch AWD mode to RWD mode ....
Done !
This is no CS though. It's a competition
My next car in urban green:)
Every track day is wet in these videos.
Belle voiture

Dash
Britains for 700 days of the year...its quite damp and wet today
M5😍
Drive like that at an EVO track day and see what happens.
No @Top Man checked shirt? standards are slipping in the presentation.
How many Sales Directors are going to put these into a hedge trying out the "Everything Switched Off" mode?
NO DRIFTING - followed by black flag. woops. even us front wheel drive holigans get the no drifting board :(
😛
Don't drive it like in the thumbnail anyway 😂🤣. 1 wheel on grass is bad m'kay.
That car doesn't look fun. Its clearly very snappy, unpredictable, difficult to manage, and nervous.
It's wet.
