Gen1 earpods here. I have the same problem as many of you in that the left earpod plays music for about 30 seconds before dropping out. After this, it's eventually possible to play music through just the right earpod. If I put both pods back in the case and take them out again, the same thing will happen -- left drops after 30 seconds. I've scrolled this whole thread and tried everything. No matter what I do, the left one always drops. I've tried everything: cleaning, resets, deleting all bluetooth airpod entries, exiting from 'find my...', trying them with an Android phone. My best guess is that the battery in the left pod is faulty and can only supply enough stable power for 30 seconds. What leads me to this conclusion is: Switch off in-ear detection Put pods in charging case Close lid for 15 secs Open the charging case lid so the pods connect to your iPhone Play something that lasts a few minutes WITH the pods still in the charging case You'll now notice that throughout, the left pod doesn't drop out after 30 seconds and will continue to play. Why? My best guess is that while the left pod is charging, it's receiving all the power it needs to run properly from the case. The moment you disconnect the left pod from the charging case, it's running on its own battery power and it WILL drop out again shortly. Conclusion: faulty battery in the left pod, either through design fault, or the battery just wore out and can now longer supply sufficient power.
Sound logic! Didn't think about that. Time for a battery change then. Apart from disconnecting issues the left one it's a bit louder, maybe a battery issue as well. We will see, it's worth it to try.
Apple just sucking folks dry, just tried it myself and you right it stays on while in the case but as soon as I take it out it disconnects and a lot of people have this issue Apple tech is intentionally made to become obsolete not to last and people still buy their shit I'm just glad I didn't
I have this problem of mine where my airpods automatically disconnects. After a few seconds of connecting airpods to my phone and when I started listening to music my right airpod disconnects automatically then after a few minutes my left airpods disconnects automatically as well. How can I fix this kind of problem? Thank you!

@@nikifan7221 nah, my AirPods have a battery issue. It makes sense, I’d be using only the right one all day 5 days a week for 3 years. That’s explains why it has an issue and why the left doesn’t
A SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME: basically go into your bluetooth area and remove all things that say airpod or headpones and just forget all of them, then re pair your airpods and once they are paired re name them and it should solve the issue (worked on my pros). If it doesn't work then just rinse and repeat until it does.
I have an issue with my AirPods 1, they just disconnect all the time, despite I have made all such efforts to make it fix. Please suggest what should I do?
I sold them and get a cheap copy that looks exactly like it and and its been working perfectly without any issues. Such a shame with that price and the new updates of ios. Thought it’d work seamlessly.
These are an improvement over the 1st gen buds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM Pros: The fit is fantastic. This is the biggest plus. They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
I have a pair of Soundcore Life Dot 2, NEVER had a problem like that. I made the huge mistake to get the Air Pro 2 from Anker, and they kept on disconnecting, plus the NR was absolute garbage, making the quality of the sound go down the toilet. I bought AirPods because I have an XS Max, the left bud keeps on dropping. I can only keep it connected for a few minutes. Shouldn't the expensive stuff be better quality than a 50 Euros Life Dot 2 from Soundcore?!
Listen guys i have a fix. I had the same issue for my airpods 1st gen after 2 minute my left airpod disconnects. To fix this you need to put both your airpods in the case and connect it to your phone. After connecting dont close your case leave it open.
