Hello and good morning from the north of Gemany. The food simply looks delicious, a lot of friendly people in the place, we enjoyed the evening with y'all! Thanks for everything! Kai and Barbara
Does is more influential than youd think, its not just a little southern hole in the wall. The way they cook their steaks was copied by Galatoires in new orleans, and then Ruths Chris which spread across the country. You can go into a Smith and Wollensky in Times Square New York and you're eating the Does style. The french fries are great, but not the best in the world. The hot tamales are good and a cultural artifact
I live in California but have visited Doe's twice in my life.....The best steaks I have ever had, plus french fries and green salad......I am ready for another trip.......
My grandmother is “Gwendolyn Hawkins” maiden name is Hobdy born and raised there around 1930’s & my father “Dan Williams Jr” was also born there in 1948 & my grandmother moved back from Detroit & was an employee for the city around the years of 1993-1996 R.I.P to both … hoping someone sees this and have more information or know my family
