Iv had loads as with fords Rs’s and iv got to admit Renault really know how to make a fast hatch It was one of these or the mk8 CS GTI I got the CS in the end but it took a month to decided it was that close between the two
@blazcvetko3849 german cars in general have better build quality. And also they are much faster on the streets. (1/4 mile etc, straight line racing). Also in the UK / Netherlands etc the weather is mostly trash so a 4wd would be helpful
Nice RS really like it! @10:07 indeed it's something different then another BMW, Audi, Golf GTI, and the Mégane is a whole a lot of fun to drive. That's also why I got my Renault 19 16v Phase 2 (with turbo converted F7R 2.0 16v ), people don't expect it to have ~250 HP.
Pretty sure this was on LLF back in the day when the guy initially got the car, sick to see the transformation though. Shame these are so difficult to get a hold of nowadays.
This guy is the reason I can't get that number plate for my meg lol. Least it's on a meg ;) that diffuser and exhaust I've had a look for my own and jesus christ you he's put some serious love and money into this build I love it.
Very nice looking car.......I was looking at one of these to replace my Cupra 280ST but the interior put me off to live with it day in day out. Would be good for a weekend car one to blast about on your best country roads!!!
But Peter as I looked first time coming from a Golf 7 Gti perf into the Cupra 280 at a testdrive, it was the cheapest car inside I ever saw in this class. Only my later cupra 300 with a little bit alcantara inside was OK. I purchased also a few carbon covers so that my eyes don't bleed. But e.g. the Renault megane facelift is easy on the quality of a seat Leon 5f
If ever you get clutch slip, give me a message, mine Trophy R was the 1st in the Uk to get the free cooling modification from renault as my clutch slipped on track every now and again

I’ve got a Renault megane 1.5dci as my first car atm and I didn’t like it at first but it’s really grown on me I love it I’m thinking I might stick with Renault for my second car aswell and get one of there quick stock let alone with a tune and turbo swap

@@shrozer7608 I think, 0-100 will be only slightly better. Like 0.2s because front wheel car. But more you can see at 100-200. Example, I have Megane IV GT tweaked extra 30hp. To 0-100 it is in best case 0.2s, but 100-200 it is more than 4.5s different 🙂
Looks great, I bought last year 2023 megane. And it is such a shity build I could not believe it. Rain goes into the cabin, all handles above doors are loose, got it new with foulty electronics, 70% of equipment does not work. Infotainment shuts it self down on it own while driving. Active braking system brakes for no reason, radar shuts it self down for no reason, sometimes handsfree system does not work. It has been over a year and I'm still waiting for parts. Only thing that is fixed is satnav. It always had a foulty gps location of a car.

Great car, I would leave the suspension alone if I were you, Renault employee expert engineers to design the ultimate set up - hence the great Nurburgring lap times. You may find you ruin the whole geometry of the car and unintentionally make the car worse.
Honestly I think that's only valid for the Trophy R with expensivr Öhlins suspension. The normal Trophy (as in the video) has a good suspension but with a good KW Clubsport you can make it better.
French crap? Its not the 1970s anymore. This car in Trophy R model owns the current world record for fastest hot hatch around the nurburgring. Its a nissan engine with nissan GTR liners. You can see how much the engine can take in this video in stock form, its one of the strongest engines around. You sir are a complete and utter idiot.

So many people with this issue, it's on the standard Trophy as well. Drilling great big holes in the housing is not a great solution.
