I can honestly say that Theme Park Worldwide is definitely my favourite channel on UA-cam! Also, I can say that is is my favourite of all your videos. Your channel, Shaun and everyone else, is a great way to escape stress, especially seeing as I'm about to start my GCSEs. I watch your videos when revising and they really have helped when I needed to chill out. Thank you all for being awesome ^_^

Last saturday got on 13 rides at thorpe park waited 10mins for vortex, 25 for nemesis inferno back row, 45 for both swatm and saw, 15 for detonator, 5 for loggers leap and got absolutely soaked before usig my last 5 rides to dry off. Thorpe park meetup I think!!!

wish i could get to thorpe park but i live in scotland its to far for me, we only get buses to alton towers which i cant wait to go to in july ! one day i will go to thorpe park, love the vlogs big fan of TPW x

I saw you working on the car park. On Friday. Just missed you. You was talking to people. About 4:00. Just booked fireworks on the 7. November 2 year running. Every visit to alton towers. I've seen you. A few weeks after the smiler opened I went and saw you on smiler. Then I've always seen you working on the car park or the turn stalls. A hard worker!!!
I've been to thorpe park and chessington awesome days out I've not been to alton towers yet.
This was the first video I watched on your channel in August 2015, and after the video I immediatly subscribed to TPW. Really looking forward to what is coming up this year. Also congrats on 5 years of Theme park worldwide

i love all your thorpe park videos and i took your advice on the fact that the slammer might not be around for much longer so when i go in 2 weeks im going to ride it even though that is the one ride there that i am petrified of!!

which would you recommend is the best coaster at Thorpe park to start off on? never been before usually go to Alton towers, going June 5th for my birthday can't wait.
Swarm defo cuz I was petrified of coasters before I went and I got forced on swarm and I have loved coasters ever since !😃

hi, firstly I think your vlogs are awesome! secondly, i'm going to thorpe park on friday and I'm cool with almost all the rides, its just that i've never been on a proper drop ride like detonator so i'm super worried! What's it like?
i cant wait for Thorpe park to open next week . 5 months its a long wait.,
On the detonator they tend to trick you from time to time. We saw some people up there for 10 seconds plus before to give them the feel like it broke down or something I reckon. With me and my brother they started the countdown and released us at about 2

Been to Thorpe park twice and been on all 5 major coasters. My opinion on them, starting from the best is:
1. The Swarm
2. Stealth
3. Nemesis Inferno
4. Saw: The Ride
5. Colossus
Coincidentally, how I ranked them is exactly how Mitch Hawker's Steel Roller Coaster poll 2013 ranked them, with The Swarm at 115, Stealth at 121, Nemesis Inferno at 138, Saw: The Ride at 200 and Colossus at 216.

On vortex does it make your belly go? cause I really wanna go on it but I have problems with drop rides and heights that make my belly go and when I come off I shake like mad
It does a bit, gave me a headache, didn't really like it but most people do love it so idk

Shawn, I know you work at Alton. But does that fund you enough to go to these theme parks both nationally and internationally? Just wondering if you have another job, because being a theme park enthusiast is an expensive hobby and Im wondering how you do it. Thanks. :) :) :)

I dint think he gets paid much for UA-cam, if anything. It's a hobby for him.
If you work at a Merlin park, then you can get free tickets to all Merlin attractions. As for other non-merlin parks, I don't know :P
Multiple theme park bloggers have said that saving up money and buying the premium park passes actually saves money if you're visiting frequently. Also having a job with a premier theme park chain helps.

During April the park is usually quiet, have fun!
They do have fastback and if its a weekday the queues shouldn't get any longer than 20 mins have fun!!! Ps. Go on swarm at the end of the day, the queues are less than 5 mins. HAVE FUN!

Not really a huge fan of Smiler, as the biggining part is exactly the same as SAW, when you start in the dark and go through a couple of inversions
