Hot take, but as a Mulan fan, I actually liked the sequel! Of course, it doesn’t compare to the first movie but I don’t get the hate for it from others. To me, it’s one of the few Disney sequels that didn’t suck.
I love the sequel too, sure there were moments that I didn’t like, but I enjoyed the movie. I just wish that they hadn’t made Mushu get in the middle of Mulan and Shang’s relationship 😭, but overall this was a good movie (to me) it doesn’t beat the original but I enjoyed it

Damn Disney straight to dvd sequels were peak gold for me when I was younger. You couldn’t convince me this, Pocahontas 2, Cinderella 3 a twist in time, weren’t masterpieces disguised as fever dreams.
I still remember when, in the finale, in the wedding part, I screamed so loudly with happiness that my neighbours came to my house, they thought I was already on labour 😅 (at eight months)😂 I love this couple, it’s my favourite of the whole Disney stuff, and to see them marrying made me genuinely happy, even if some people didn’t like the movie😅😊
Mulan II: Mushu gaslights the main couple and nearly gets Shang killed.
Mulan II: The movie where the Eddie Murphy (or Eddie Murphy clone) dragon becomes the main villain and gets a slap on the wrist for his actions
The couple that would die for each other. Even though they are practically fighting the whole movie.
And majority of the fights were caused by Mushu's selfishness.
