Hi Guys!! Keep it coming. Love the vids. Thanks. I got my MM hoodie, VERY nice. Fits great, I got an xl I’m 6’1”, 185…color not a yellow, more burnt yellow-orange 😂😂😂
Alligator river channel is always changing, have to be on top of it at all times. Sure would like you to visit Manteo (Roanoke Island) sometime. The Lost Colony was here. Andy Griffith is buried on his property here. Lots of places to visit. Just stay in the channel. Hope to visit with you one day here. Safe Travels.
The spiders in Shed 6 is nothing compared to the spider hotel in the mechanics shed. That's just creepy. Was moved to Shed 6 and I was in heaven. Saw MM, and was slipped next to Malcolm.
There’s a great tool tha can save you a lot of time with the wiping down surfaces. When the pandemic hit this cool fogger machine came out, you add some vinegar diluted in water and hit all the surfaces that you’d normally wipe down. Leave all the fans on and the hvac for about half hour and it’s all dry and you can scoot. It would probably be less than 15 to do the interiors of your vessel. I’ll email you the name of our product when I get home but you can probably find one before you hear back. Timesaver for busy parents!
I feel like like recognize the yacht next to you, ‘cielo’. Did you by any chance meet them or know what brand that is? (I’m asking as if you’re still there!)
This past weekend we took Gusto on a trip that had some aspects that might relate to your voyage (though in much smaller scale). We keep our boat in Forked River, NJ and took her up to Silver Bay, which is a small bay off of Barnegat Bay, a bit north of the RT 37 Bridge. While passing under the bridge, we had to deal with numerous boats that did not heed the no wake signs. In the confined space between bridge pilings, boat wakes get reflected and produce choppy confusing conditions. This is not easy when you're trying to maneuver a larger boat through a tight space with waves pushing you around, so it took some work to keep Gusto away from the bridge piling on the starbord and the boats traveling the opposite direction on the port. Also, there were some forest fires in the pinelands that border the bay, making for smoky conditions along the way. In addition, a boat caught fire just south of the bridge (we heard about it on the radio and saw the smoke plume). Fortunately the passengers and crew were all able to evacuate with no injuries. We did see about a dozen Coast Guard boast screaming up the bay as we headed south.
What a great, leisurely episode. And congratulations upon reaching your destination. It has been so interesting to see the ICW, a much better view than from Rt. 95! Thank you.
Episode 83 You went a ground. I enjoy your videos cause if it didn't catch it on camera 📸 it didn't happen. I wonder how many people complain to the authorities about that area. You documented the experience 😮😮
I recall when BRADEN ran MM aground and I also remember a certain wager that was placed at the time. From my memory Braden owes you quite a large sum of money ............ Take care and keep having fun.
With twin engines and stabilizers.. They need to be centered for maneuvering, the fins will swing up or down as thrust is reversed and thus act against your control inputs. Your system should have a "center" setting on the panel? It can get real hairy in close quarters if fins not locked... Ask me how I know! @@ABOARDMERMAIDMONSTER
Ive been watching your videos and other live in boaters on youtube for a few years now, and one thing that seems common is boat life is an exhausting lifestyle. Doesnt really seem a relaxing way of life. Just my observation.
Last time we were in Coinjock the had a tomahawk steak as well as the prime rib. We got 4 for $400 and ate them for the rest of the week. That was three years ago..
I really like when you show the camera view of leaving a slip and the high speed forward view of swing bridge. For a boater it is fun to see those views of operating the vessel! Will you be at Newport Boat Show?
The "obnoxious" intracoastal!.......I've never heard anyone describe it like that, and I LIKE IT!........I first took "the ditch" from the Chesapeake to Boca Raton in Oct. 1976 taking a 48' Hatteras LRC to Lighthouse Point marina and, yes, it was pretty "obnoxious" way back then, too!
I grounded in the same spot 4 yes. ago. I bought another boat in Maryland this past January and brought it back to Charleston. So I was nervous cruising that area again, I know what you were feeling. I went through with out issue this time, because it is better marked with the red Buoys. Glad I erased those demons!
Ya know what actually no we don’t. Like I don’t think we have ever used them. If it’s hot enough for the bugs to be out we usually have the AC on and the doors shut
There’s some women you can trust driving the boat. my wife refuses to dock ours but I feel completely comfortable going below and taking a shower when my wife’s driving.
Love the dancin doll!

I ues to live in coinjock, nc. In the mid 80's. I see U have a new addition to the family. Congrats
Being in a shed has its own challenges. Spider poop everywhere. You will never see you boat so dirty. But lots of benefits too! Good luck

In the California delta there are a ton of swing bridges

Interesting. Looking it up now as I lay in bed haha
The good thing about a shed Is the boat stays cool in it's protected from the sun. The bad thing is there spider poop everywhere And it sucks
Omg yes the spider poop is awful
I berth my boat in the sheds there. The spider poop is just horrendous!!!💩

@@richardnye3469 Yeah. I'm in a work shed right now. It's terrible. Doesn't take long in there to get bad.
There is some REALLY good fishing off the OBX
Yay Coinjock we would get three big ones and eat them all the way down breakfast lunch and dinner
You guys always put great music in the videos!!
Thank you!
Brooke ...Do you still have a sweet tooth for " Lucky Charms" ? 😊😊
Love em

Couldn't tell: what happened with the antennas finally?
We took them down
ps.......How's Newport?......Isn't that where you ran into strong winds and people dragging anchors a while ago?
Yes!!! It’s all good this time around
I saw y'all in Coinjock when I was walking my dog, and I thought it was so cool. Now I know what you had for dinner, lol. 😊
July 5, 2020 the Palmer family went a ground. What about the bet ?
Ok to be honest I can’t remember the bet. Can you refresh my memory?! Haha. Everyone is bringing it up!! Y’all have better memories than we do
I miss Captain 😢

Great episode! Stay safe and keep rolling along even if you are taking a boat break! Enjoy the time off MM crew! 👍👍

Coinjock docking, were your stabilizers locked centered?
Not even sure

HA HA. Sag Harbor! I know how much you "loved" it there. 😂

You are not wrong haha. It is exhausting but bizarrely amazing and addicting. It’s hard to describe until you just live it.
Last time we were in Coinjock the had a tomahawk steak as well as the prime rib. We got 4 for $400 and ate them for the rest of the week. That was three years ago..
Omg would’ve loved to see the giant tomahawk steak brought out
I really like when you show the camera view of leaving a slip and the high speed forward view of swing bridge. For a boater it is fun to see those views of operating the vessel! Will you be at Newport Boat Show?

Haha yup
We took the inside all the way down...it was really "salty" on the outside, even for the Hatteras...@@Phil-F62

OMG!! Leo is getting sooooo big!❤️

Do you use your screens on your Dutch doors much? My wife was asking about them for our trawler. Are attached to the door frame with snaps or Velcro?
Ya know what actually no we don’t. Like I don’t think we have ever used them. If it’s hot enough for the bugs to be out we usually have the AC on and the doors shut
You never said which one of you guys, is the one with prior boating experience.
Both the same
There’s Leo
There’s some women you can trust driving the boat. my wife refuses to dock ours but I feel completely comfortable going below and taking a shower when my wife’s driving.
That is totally messed up Braden leaving us hanging on how much Prime Rib he had. What the heck.
Hahaha…. I think the answer will disappoint you 😂
