    It is as you say sir. The average public citizen is afraid to go the lengthy process of courts. As was I when I was attacked by a police officer for just asking a question from him.
    I did not take any action against him, not because I'm afraid. But because I cannot handle any more harassment from them in the future.
    There are right but only in the books. And for the common fall like us not even there.

    What is the use of knowing fundamental rights when some law binding authorities don’t even bother to protect them? Shame Srilanka? We call our proud motherland, some people don’t have even basic rights preserved by the authorities in the island! What’s wrong with these guys?

      Be Patience Sri Lanka Has To Start Somewhere And This Is That First Step.

    Why limited to 30days for fundermental rights
    application petition bto SC??
    No attempt to change it to 90 dsys even through s Private Bill in the Parliament???

    ව්‍යවස්ථාවෙ 3 සහ 26(2) අනුව, පරමාධිපත්‍ය හිමි ජනතාව අත් අඩංගුවට ගන්න පොලිස්සියට පුළුවන් ද?
    ජනතා සේවකයාට පුළුවන්ද තම ස්වාමියාට නීති දාන්න?

    Cannot agree on his comment on article 16. He seems to have misunderstood as if laws enacted after 1978 constitution are also governed by article 16.

    Shame Aritha is talking about Soviet Union. He needs to look at the Soviet Union's history. Religion was not banned. I am a lawyer in England. We need to look at the facts. Religion was practiced freely in the Soviet Union. Some people were killed in the Soviet Union but because it was done publicly , everyone knew about the killings. In the UK for example,the killings are done privately
