I owned that LS 430 for several years in the high mountains of Colorado. Even with summer tires, it was well behaved during the months where your tires would never touch road (only several inches of packed snow and ice). It was also quite capable of driving on dirt forest service roads almost as bad as what you just tested. What's more, if you turned off the ASR, you could drive a hundred yards forward with the car 45 degrees sideways... it was buttery smooth and easy to feather. Last, it started without fail, including on an unusually cold morning where the temperature was -45 degrees. Everything about that car, including the factory Mark Levinson audio system, was top notch. Did I mention it got 28 MPG on the highway?

But new Lexus owners tend to get their cars properly serviced and maintained by their dealership, so you get full maintenance records, Toyota reliability, and luxury... I paid only 20% the cost of that car when it was new, but it was so pristine that you couldn't guess the age.
@thetimekillerx not true,I have a 2010 W221 S class and have recently changed expensive Mercedes parts for own parts costing 90% less than the main dealer and front right suspension £935 + vat main dealer £165 oem part no vat,changed abs sensor £135 + vat main dealer £26 for 2 oem part. As for fuel yes it’s a killer especially with current prices but on the motorway it only does 8mpg less than my sons 1.2 tsi vw polo and it’s a 3 litre V6 with 258 bhp

I agree, that era of 7 series is now widely considered one of the best BMW's ever made and have become very hot on the market. Makes a good collector/investment car, I personally think they look very good.

Probably Lexus. If it was well kept before. In UK even insurance for a year on 7-series will cost more than 1k. And some simple repairs and interval service are expensive as well so no surprise these cars cost next to nothing.

Lexus have incredible customer service and the LS haS won THE JD powers quality surgery something loke.14 years out of 15, including being the world car of the Year 2007. Parts supply is usually kegislated for 10 years. It's been around 3 decades now. What reasonable expectation could you possibly have???

How come BMW got 2 points for the last test if it got stuck? Got same help from Merc as Merc got from Discovery. Imo only Lexus finished that last test and tbh if BWM wouldn't stuck, probably Merc would finish that track by itself as well.

All W220 has air suspension. Why didn't they enabled the offroad mode? Higher clearance, ESP on and its a walk in the park.
