Do you have any questions about dangerous essential oils for dogs? If you missed last week's video I went over 10 best practices when using essential oils on your dog: TEN GUIDELINES TO SAFE USE OF ESSENTIAL OILS: ua-cam.com/video/sHcR6zxZi14/v-deo.html
I recently bought and used Vets Best flea and tick spray to combat a small amount of fleas on my dog. It contains peppermints and eugenol oil. Shortly after, I found many online reviews and sources saying peppermint oil is toxic for dogs.
Hi I have a frenchie bulldog And I want to know if it’s safe to use sandalwood 💯pure.to keep the smell away or what do u recommend me to use on him thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you for your comment & attached link. I read it and would like to comment on that. The study mentions "regular and natural essential oil" Essential oil is a product obtained from natural raw plant material. I assume the mentioned 'regular' essential oils are synthetic fragrance oils. Many synthetic chemicals in fragrance oils are derived from petrochemicals, and they can be harmful to our (and our dogs) health. Chemicals found synthetic fragrances are for example: phthalates ( can cause endocrine disruption), benzene derivatives, aldehydes, toluene, which ( known carcinogens ). The study mentions "Exposure to compounds emitted from essential oils has been associated with adverse health effects such as skin irritation...." however it doesn't mention how, how much essential oil been used, the quality of the oil, diluted or not, etc. In my previous video I'm talking about rules when using essential oils; the importance of the quality, dilution, when to use and when not to, etc. Aromatherapy, use of essential oils & hydrosols, is a very complex thing and fascinating ... and definitely not black and white. When the oils are chosen correctly, diluted & administered correctly they are very beneficial. But if missuesd can be harmful... like many other things in our life. That' why I made my previous video & this one as well. You don't have to agree with me, and that's fine :) Ps: I didn't teach my Scotty any tricks lol
@@vitacanis1117 The link I posted was an abstract. In the full report, investigators did not find phthalates, which are used to modify plastics, in the fragrance oils, but found toluene in natural and synthetic oils. Not all benzene derivatives are harmful. Salicylic acid, benzoic acid and benzocaine have medicinal properties and are commonly applied to the skin or ingested. There are several YT videos of Scotties doing clever tricks. We had one growing up and my sister had a pair (half brother and sister) until about 7 years ago. They are a fine breed and definitely have endearing personalities!
@@FrankGutowski-ls8jt you are right. I have two Scotties & they are the most comical dogs I ever had 🤣 I should teach them some tricks. Wish me luck lol 😆

Don't worry! It would be only a small amount in the spra; it can be toxic when used undiluted or / and digested
@@vitacanis1117 thank you! That makes sense, considering there’s only about 0.30% in the solution.
Thank you 😊💓 and your dog is gorgeous! Sweet video!

How about citrus oils and cinnamon or clove oil in diffusing?
Cinnamon is definitely a no-go, even with diffusing. The animal is breathing it in
