- in this video I restore a corgi jaguar mk10. The casting is in really bad condition with lots of corrosion. I finish the car in a two tone pain job using automotive 2k paint and clear caot. I've done some light detailing to the engine. Ives swapped out old wheels for wire fitted with white wall tyre's. hope you enjoy the video and the finished result 👍 cheers luke
That's one classy looking car...

That is a stunning restoraton on the Jaguar 420 G , l was thinking it would look great in the midnight blue colour , but the grey metalic sets it off nicely , great job 👍

It looks awesome!

Your patience and dexterity are a joy to watch, Luke: I wish I had half! If you sat down and counted all the hours - like a solicitor would do, so including just thinking about it - what sort of bill would you be looking at? I'd reckon it'd go into the hundreds, easily! Really lovely detailing on the engine, too - just enough for realism, but not too mad. Terrific colour scheme as well - straight out of the US market - and with the wires and whitewalls, could easily be a Streets of San Francisco car. I'd be very proud of that!
Thank you for your kind comment I enjoy doing the restorations so hard to but a price on lol I'm glad you enjoyed the video it's really appreciated thank you. Luke
The finish and colour choice is amazing. It's nice to see someone who's not afraid to experiment with paint colours on these older classics. 👌
Thank you for your kind comment much appreciated 👍
Interesting (possibly contraversial) alternative to the normal return to the original ‘toy’ standard. However the use of old 1/43 diecast model techniques such as careful removing flash, metal polishing and use of alternative wheels/tyres turns a ‘toy’ into a unique ‘model’ is to be applauded imho. Excellent paint finish as always in your work and the way the polished metal chrome work rather than paint makes the model pop is fabulous - God I bet that is difficult!!!
Thank you for your kind comment much appreciated my friend. The polishing and masking most certainly takes patients. 👍
Cracka job that Cheer's JV
Thank you 👍
Where did you source the white wall tyres from?
Ebay pal
Very smart colour combination, the white walls are a nice touch ,the sprung plate that goes in the front to hold the bonnet is better of not being there i see yours was missing because it causes the front part of the base to bend down out of shape ,i usually leave mine off .
Excellent work
Thanks Martin yeah I did try to find a replacement spring plate but struggled to find one I'm glad I did now lol cheers mate 👍
Nice finish, not sure i like the wheel/tyre set up though.I try and finish all my models in 'factory' colours, that is manufacturer's colours, not model colours.More realisistic, imho.
Thank you 👍
