Appreciate your demonstration, I would like to know if you think that £200/250 dollars is a decent price for a second hand one that looks in good condition, or would a Vypyr be a better amp. Many thanks. Kim
Also, I didn't even cover the functionality of the looping and recording tracks on this amp. I still need to explore that, but perhaps I will post a follow up once I get proficient on that.
What will happen if I reset spider jam? Do I lose all backing tracks I have on the amp? As the tracks I have it starts from 65 and above. Is it right ? Thx
I know that a factory reset will restore it to it's original state as it left the factory. Mainly that means that any custom user pre-sets you created and stored will be deleted. Here is the process to save your custom user pre-sets to an external SD card: - In the Save menu, select the TRANSFER ALL TO CARD option. - All of your pre-sets (and associated tones) will be saved to that card Then, you can load those back in after you do the factory reset. In terms of the backing tracks, mine starts at 063 - COOL 2 BEAT SWING. Depending on the firmware version, I assume these can be different for everyone's amp. My understanding is that these tracks are all from the factory and do not get deleted when reset. However, if you have saved loops that you created, I suggest backing them up as well. Also, on another note, there is a site called Spider Online - line6.com/spideronline - it is a site where you can take lessons via your browser, get access to hundreds of jam backing tracks, and download more tones. For the tracks, you need to plug your computer into your amp (just a male to male 1/8 inch cable) and then you can play through your amp and jam along. I hope this helps. Let me know if I didn't answer something well enough or if there is anything else.
The SD slot is for using an SD card with the amp. You can record / save the card as well as import .WAV files from it for use with the amp - like background tracks or recordings from other amps, etc.

I bought this amp and love it for practicing. Especially the drum tracks. Well thought out amp with massive functionality and flexibility.
