Hot coffee spilled on their feet, she would sue the coffee shop in the US, it would be costing her for the hospital visit

Gratefully, not only here, but in the U.K. As well, restaurants are required to maintain a million dollar insurance policy. And anyone that’s been injured in a restaurant should ask that their hospital bills are paid and lost wage’s reimbursed. I saw a devastating case where a British woman visiting Turkey was careful to make sure the chef knew she had a nut allergy. He came out and discussed her allergies, he assured her he would be taking the utmost care using special cookware, and utensils…
His Junior chef screwed up and as a result she nearly died, suffering devastating, irreversible injuries and damage. She can no longer speak clearly (think massive stroke) is wheelchair bound and lost her career that she spent years in college educating herself for. Turkey doesn’t require (or did not at that time, I haven’t followed up) business insurance. Just tragic!

"after 3 months recuperation she is back to work" here in America that wouldn't even be a possibility to do and that's sad!!! We can't take that much time off without being homeless!! A bad wrist fracture like that, you'd be back to work in days, on "light duty".... America stinks when it comes to taking care of it's working class

In the UK they pay approximately 47% in taxes. Thats where they get 'free' healthcare.

And the USA is generally not in favour of helping out. Teach a man to fish and he can feed himself and family. But what if there’s no fish or even any water. What then? Let them starve, or something

@Donna Murphy they don’t get taxed 47% you have to earn £150,000 to pay 45%

@@donnamurphy5698 they get a lot of things for that money, but that’s still not what most people pay. It’s around 33-36% on average. But they also get free college, free healthcare, and tons of other free services. Regardless, it’s still much cheaper to pay the higher tax then when you ultimately have to come out of pocket even just for the school and medical alone.

I usually ask for apple juice and Graham crackers, they always remind me of my mom, and they usually have them in the Emergency department. At least here in the Dallas Fort Worth metro area of Texas.

I understand the feeling of wanting to get it right when the patient is family or a colleague... but... every time i hear a doctor/nurse say those words it makes me shudder
Why would anyone get treated better or worse because you know them!?
    Humans are f*****d up

They put a cuff on the nurse with the broken wrist, but didn't do this with other patients with the same problem in other episodes....they all dont get the same treatment

They put the cuff on to prevent the numbing solution from going up her arm in a lot of cases they knock the patient out.
I have seen the cuff used on other patients as well. Personally I’d rather they knock me out.
