      It’s a little bit sad that she had to wait so long. She had a history of a stroke came in with dizziness and then had to sit in the waiting room. She really should’ve been taken back sooner and then had a little bit of a fast track through the stroke team Right away upon coming to the emergency staff.

      I agree with this. It was also weird how Adam had to wait so long, even though they were so concerned with the blood supply to his foot getting cut off.@@jeannerountree952

    Rosa's mother seems like the type who orders food in a restaurant and starts complaining after 12 minutes and 3 seconds why her main dish takes so long and then starts leaving reviews with 14 accounts that the waiters and waitresses are lazy, the cooks are bad and the restaurant manager shoots heroin in the bathroom.

    As Adam is transfered to the ER bed, the team was reaching out and touching his hands. Offering human comfort when most needed.
    Rosa's mother isn't just a pill, she's the whole pharmacy! What a pain! And I say this as a 60 yr old woman. One day Jo is going to wonder why Rosa never calls or comes by any more.
    Tony gets it. He knows what love is.

    I feel bad for Rosa because clearly she’s just being a young adult and going out with her friends and doing very normal things like everyone does at that age and her mom is a nightmare about it, acting like she’s going out and working in the red light district and shooting up heroin or something! It’s awful and then she has the audacity to ask Rosa why she didn’t call her when her bike was broken on her way home- uh hello it’s because you would have freaked out and given her hell all the way home! Not a great way to build a strong trusting relationship with your child honestly! I hope she sees how much she’s pushing her daughter away before it’s too late.

    • @sarahsnowe
      @sarahsnowe 6 місяців тому +5

      Can't agree. Rosa was drunk and riding a bike at night in the city, alone. Seriously stupid move, and her mum is right to be angry. She's not handling it too well, but her anger comes from worry. She's also right that Rosa could have been raped, which is what happens to so many women alone who get drunk in a place like London. Also, we don't know their history. Rosa might have been a very difficult teenager, and her mum might just be fed up to the back teeth.

    • @aquachonk
      @aquachonk 5 місяців тому +7

      Agreed, very bad parenting. Not the time or place to remonstrate a child, when the girl is in pain/shock and scared and already worried what punishment is coming tomorrow. The mother never gives a kind word to her child, the closest she comes to any nurturing is fanning the girl but then she quickly complains about the effort. Instead she makes it all about her, using her child to soothe her own anxiety in the situation by baiting her with questions that forces the girl to accept responsibility for the mother's emotions. That's narcissistic af. The mother's fears are irrelevant in the moment; all that matters currently is restoring the child's health and a big part of that is mental health. What the girl really needs to hear is that everything is going to be okay, she is safe and loved, and they can talk about what happened later after they're both relaxed, fed, washed, and comfortable. Then the mother should give the child the opportunity to tell her story after which she can ask her daughter what the daughter thinks of her own behavior and how she thinks it might've impacted those who love her. Let the kid learn her way to the truth, don't passive aggressively needle her in an effing hospital room while she's bleeding--and that creepy little baby doll voice she uses? Sooo manipulative, like throwing knives with velvet gloves on. This poor kid's gonna need therapy, big time.

    • @lovelyjanuary
      @lovelyjanuary 5 місяців тому +3

      @@aquachonk that was one of the most thorough and well presented analyses of that type of situation with the behavior/emotional dynamic between the parent (mother in this case) and the child. @@aquachonkwhen would be the right time. This could have been a very bad outcome. She lives with her mom and needs to be respectful. If she doesn’t want to she needs to move out. All you people want to coddle the young kids. You don’t expect them to take responsibility for their actions. This isn’t the same world it used to be to be. If you act recklessly there needs to be consequences so they can learn and grow.

    Rosas mum is really passive aggressive towards her. Shes constantly going after her, using every situation to express her disappointment. Get over it, mam.

    You can tell the young women that’s mother kept talking so angry to her it’s a common occurrence the way she reacted. She is 18 and not 12 the mom needs to back off some.

      @@cindyhalpern3187 that's not caring. That's shaming your daughter in public, instead of taking a deep breath, backing off, and first of all getting her back to health, take time to calm down, THEN, after you both have had rest address the issue and talk. A&E is not the place for that.

      She didn’t disrespect her at all. Her mom is being out of line and chastising her for simply going out and doing things that young adults her age do. She did nothing wrong and her mom was a nightmare.

      Considering how her mom was speaking to her, I think she was very respectful and held her tongue. As a mom, you have to show discipline, but you don't have to be such a jerk, especially while Rosa was in pain. Sit down and talk with her later and you can be firm, but not hateful.

      she's not a child to be disciplined. her days of mothering her daughter in that way ended on rosa's 18th birthday. She is now an adult so her mother no longer gets a say in her daughter's affairs. @@Grianan66

      Rosa showed more respect than her mom deserved. If that’s the worst thing Rosa has done, then mom should be thankful and not treat her so coldly, especially when injured.

    I can see that none of you who are giving Rosa's mom grief are parents. You dont know the worry if your child is safe, if your daughter is being drugged and raped. If your son is going to be home or arrested for drunk driving, or injured in an accident. What did you expect to see the mom to say?

    Sometimes I think children who come of age forget that a mother’s love and worry doesn’t cease when they turn 18. We can keep them safe by not allowing them to do things when they are young, but suddenly they are 18 and doing things that could seriously harm them, and we have no say in it. We can’t tell them no. But we are worried and frightened by their behavior. The fact that we can’t keep them safe anymore, and they are more than willing to put themselves in harms way, makes us absolutely crazy with fear. We aren’t trying to be controlling or evil parents. But it is quite difficult to take that huge step backwards and let go of the grip we have on them that we use to keep them safe. Be forgiving with your parents and give them the time they need to come to terms with this. And know, for most parents, this is born out of the utmost love. There is usually nothing that a parent loves more than they love their children. Even when that child is 60 years old!!!
