The couple whose first date was the A&E, reminded me of a date when I took a new male friend to the hospital for a procedure. As he came out of sedation he told me he loved me. Two years later we were married. It was a memorable date.

I just watched a couple of minutes of an American version of this, and after the older male emergency doctor peremptorily overruled the young female team leader's call for a confirmatory xray with a "Negative!" I'm back to see my Aussie and UK friends practice real teamwork and professionalism.

Well, when you work in ED you need to put on your big girl pants and often put aside the niceties of social conversation. As stated by the young gentleman with the abnormal cardiac rhythm, Fiona has a calm and reassuring manner. Maybe you are not used to the directness of Australian verbal communication. If I was unwell in ED I would want someone like Fiona looking after me and my healthcare.
