Yes, my mother shes half Chinese Jamaican her father was Chinese ethnicity born and raised in Kingston. He did not really speak thick patois like this, at least by the time I was born in Canada, but he had strong accent with the exclamations like cho, nice and proper, and the sayings like 'try it first, you dont like it dont eat it' and 'dont juck the pepper less you like it hot'. I don't really ever imitate the accent because its not comical, it feels like home for me and its not how I talk so why put on a voice

@@mmohammed1655 his patois is NOT watered down at all.
People from different parts of the island speak patois differently. It also depends on how patois is spoken in your household.
So tired of some Jamaicans telling me that I don't speak "real" patois, because my patois is some what modified, and not what I'd call "deep"patois. This comes from being strictly denied speaking patois daily at home from early childhood till I was thirteen/fourteen when of course, I felt free to do so.
This has caused the patois I speak to sound slightly modified. But what the hell, it's Jamaican patois ALL THE SAME!

As a white Canadian, may I just say... "What?!"
I have a boy at work that is a heavy accented Jamaican too and I can't help but want to emulate their accent. It's not because I'm racist, but man, I LOVE that accent-- same with southern black accents. There's just something so appealing to them.

+Diet Coke look at this simpleton. Not proper English? You can't even form a properly structured English sentence. If you're saying that's not proper English to Jamaican's, then would you then compare Spanish from Mexico not proper when compared to Spanish from Spain?
