To make it short, this is just a masterpiece.
About the "Love wins all" I was very confused the first time I watched this video, becuse they die, so love wins nothing. But then I watched the mv another time, and in the end I understood: love wins because when she tries to fight the cube, he doesn't run away to hide, instead he takes the weapon from her, he wants to fight in her stead. And when he starts to fight, she stays right there, she doesn't run to hide either. And then they are on the ground and die together, she covers his good eye to prevent him from seeing death coming, and he takes her hand to make her feel that he is right there. Love wins all because true love and true lover stays till the end
Theories that V was blind in one eye and deaf and she mute, the cube represented the society that judges people with disabilities and they were both running away from it. The camera showed what they looked like or would be without this deficiency.
I swear I cried harder after watching this 4-5 minute MV than I did after 2 hours of Titanic. :') I was already emotional when they showed the happy scenes from the camcorder, but I lost it at the end, when they were just helplessly holding onto each other. 😭😭They just looked so scared and vulnerable. Like, how could anyone or anything hurt these two innocent angels? I know it's acting and all, but that was super powerful. And my love for the queen IU just got bigger, so, yeah. Our own Disney princess. 🥺💜💜

It's such a beautiful experience, it truly was stunning. She currently has everyone in SK on their knees with the song debuting at number on melon, genie and bugs. I watched the MV for the first time and tears formed but once I realised that she was deaf and he was blind in one eye it really just HIT HARD, and that end scene of her covering his one eye so he can't see anymore, A WATERFALL OF TEARS.

It truly is a masterpiece, a sad masterpiece but indeed an amazing one. It conveys so much detail, symbolism, and emotion. The meaning of the music video made me so sad because we can all relate to wanting to run away from society and the standards being pushed against people who don't fit them.
IU is truly one of the top tier singers in the industry. Her voice is just so easy to listen too. JYP is still regretting not signing her under his company.

iU's character is deaf and taehyung's one eye is blind. That's why she uses sign language when they're eating and she covered taehyung's left eye at the end to protect it. One theory I read, the couple represents aging people who are close to death and the cube represents the inevitable death. They were reminiscing their youth through the cam recorder which is all cheerful, bright and colorful. However, the reality is not as beautiful, when it's time for you to go, you have to go. They spent their time together loving each other until their last breath.

Enjoy react with you so much. IU took care of V like an elder sister, so protective of him. Always hold his hand and went into an unknown place first. V’s behaviors are innocent and playful just sooo ‘childishly cute’. Even in the ‘wedding’ part, V’s facial expressions are just like a little boy. I think that’s why at the end when the ‘cube’ came to them, IU did not hesitate to stand in front of V and determined to fight. V probably tried to protect IU the first time. we could see how scared he was but still pull out all his strength and attack the ‘cube’. When they both realized there was no way to survive, IU came up with that V was ‘little’ and must be terrified, then she covered V’s one good eye with her hand gently to ease him. A masterpiece
My first listen of this song happened during work so I didn't really watch the video, but I thought that the song was beautiful. Then I rewatched it and it broke me. I read other people's comments and interpretations and then rewatched it again and it was worse for me the third time. When I was younger, I fought for my love even when most fought against it and saw so much flaw in it. And while it ultimately didn't last, it was still a love that I don't regret. It contributed to our experiences and making me who I am today. I hope that everyone can experience a love that really means something to them; through the good and bad. This is also a great example of how something can mean different things to different people (i.e. IU & V's disabilities either represented those disabilities or were metphors of old age, or something else and the cube representing conforming to the box of society or death). It was a great song and video, I just can't watch it without crying XD

The song is great, but it would be cool to turn the music video into a full sci-fi movie. It would also be nice if it was IU & Tae to be the main actors but who knows if that could happen. The dystopic apocalyptic storyline reminds me of past sci-fi movies/books such as Oblivion (with Tom Cruise), or Terminator, or the classic War of the Worlds, where the threat to all mankind may be extraterrestrial or it could be of our own doing, such as artificial intelligence that has got so advanced that it decides to take over & not need its maker anymore. The cube in the MV can be interpreted symbolically as anything you want, but for me, it looks like on first impression, A.I. that has finally awoke. We get to see 2 survivors that want some happiness left in the world, if only for a brief moment, but when it is done, they now become part of other nameless victims & they will also be forgotten, although here we get to see them in their last moments. Another commenter here said the MV can also be interpreted to be about aging til death & I think that is a perfect analogy & interpretation. For BTS fans, the pile of clothes are a throwback to the Spring Day MV, which the pile itself was inspired from artist Boltanski.

This MV just pains me in so many levels, it's not even funny:
The sensation that you have where your life and your partners life is connected to the deepest parts of eachothers souls and the journey that you have to navigate on your life and the happy memories that you made along the way.. just to know that in the end your life will end, it's just so gut-wrenching and yet.. it feels poethic at the same time.
IU and V knew how to convey those emotions so deeply that I felt the same way about me and my boyfriend, that feeling of enjoyment that you have because you don't know if tomorrow you'll be here to experience another day but you just allow yourself to feel, to be happy.
That felt like a punch to my heart.. but also a kiss to my soul.

IU has ALWAYS had those GREAT vocals, she has been a real powerhouse storyteller right out the gate when she was like 16 or something. She's absolutely World-Class no matter what she does. V is the same way so to have both of them in the same video telling this story is just no fair at all. No way to NOT cry. Just WOW, AMAZING.
It's just that a slightly larger laundromat in the universe takes off clothes for washing.

A comment on Twitter said that IU is deaf and Tae is blind in one eye, both have been that way from birth. The cube is getting rid of people with "defects" and the camera is then imagining a world where they can be happy because they're "normal".
The world in the video isn't that great if you watch carefully, so to me, this is a commentary on the present against the backdrop of a terrible dystopia; the only thing great was their love.
