The whole system needs revised! The family court system does nothing but empower women to keep children from their fathers(even if a court order exists) extort money and do with it whatever they want!

I spent ONE WEEK with my daughter over the last 12 years since she was 3 years old. She's 15 now. I am 100% paid up on all child support and even worse than that, is i have full legal custody that i paid thousands on lawyers to fight for and win. I had my daughter for ONE WEEK after winning my custody case and fighting with every level of police to get them to stop lying to me and enforce my court order and go get my kid out of her mothers house. I had to threaten the police with lawsuits to get them to finally do their job.
After i got my daughter, her mothers visiting day came a week later and she kidnapped her and left the state and neither my states police or the police in the state she ran to, would do anything to help me. So i now still have full legal custody on paper but no child and i know the police will not help me. So sadly after 15 years i have finally just given up. It's a rigged system and i just can't win even when i fkng win.
But one good thing about all of this is that she can't get another dime of my money or even try to sue me for support because she is already guilty of kidnapping to begin with and isn't even supposed to have my daughter right now. I have no issue with giving money for my daughter but i know damn well that she never got most of it anyways, so i am glad her mom has screwed herself and can no longer rob me every month.
I paid that bitch for almost 15 years and never even got to be a dad and now my kid is damn near an adult and all she knows about me is whatever lies her mother has fed her all her life and whatever she learned about me during our one week together. I just hope that maybe someday when she's an adult, that she will remember our week together and maybe want to look for me.

Sorry, someone from a first world country here, what's this card you speak of that employers give you to "pay" for healthcare? Single payer system, everything medically necessary is covered, so we don't need a million cards from a million sources to pay for a $500 band-aid.

Yes, I agree. A new system should be put in place so that an assigned case worker is the ONLY person other than the Father who has access to that money. The child should have a provisional account and the money the father gives should go into that account; not to the mother herself. The case worker then MUST be present for any and all shopping needs for the child. That money is there to support the child, not a petty trifling mother. Men should not be legally obligated to support these women who won't support themselves.
And how are we going to pay the salaries for these case workers?

@@lucario2able I honestly don't know how or where this should be implemented and perhaps hoping for individual case workers might bee a bit difficult, but there are already some organisations already in place; the Government can negotiate terms and agreements to include them. Such as the CPS case workers who go and take children from abusive or neglectful families. They can have a system of volunteers to stop by and pay them a small amount per visit. All I know is that "Child Support" money, very rarely gets used for a CHILD. That's why there are all these new TIK TOK videos where women start dancing and ding happy jigs when they get awarded child support and then they look utterly confused when they see that it's less than half of what they think they're entitled to. Some even say "How am I supposed to LIVE on that much money??" The truth is they're NOT. It's extra money for the child. A Mother should be able to support herself and a child. Child Support is supposed to help the child so that the mother can keep the child living comfortably. But some mothers wanna be petty and take that child support and go out with the girls or feed their new boyfriend, or get their nails done. they do not deserve extra money once the relationship with the father is over.
@patrickcromwell7554 it could all go onto a card/account like foodstamps. You have to scan stuff you want to buy in the app and I'd it can't be used for foodstamos you can't even scan it. This could work for childsupport. So you can only scan child related stuff like clothing, and adult stuff would be blocked off until the kid is old enough to wear adult sizes. That sort of thing. So the mother can't utilize it for herself.

I don't think you're going to convince people to spend billions on this.
I used to give my ex cash every Friday when I picked the kids up for the weekend but she spent it all on alcohol and stuff for herself and ended up short for stuff for the kids during the week so I started taking a weeks worth of food instead and bought electricity tokens (tokens you could it into the electric meter to top it up). Needless to say she wasn’t happy with that so she wouldn’t allow me to take the kids many times. I won custody in the end 😃

It's not always that easy. So many judges will just believe/take the mtohers side no matter what except for like extreme cases.
I am happy to be able to support my daughters financially. My only problem is the lack of regulation. The court doesn't care what the money is actually used for. They only care that I pay it.

Kinda goes into how women can decide to keep the baby why her the father wants it or not. If she doesn't and he does he now has to deal with his kid being wiped off the earth and if he doesn't want it he has to pay for a kid he doesn't want. It's crap either way. Yeah, paternity test needs to be mandatory at birth since paternity fraud is so big. And they should have a card so they can monitor that the money is actually going for the children. Why not they monitor everything else we spend money on so why not child support?

I have a story that would crush your heart and blow your mind about an ex and what she did to me and my daughter for years and the court wouldn’t step in. Even after the court appointed psychologist said there was mental and physical abuse in the home.
I have a friend from university who married a Japanese woman and had kids and then when they divorced, he lost his Japanese visa and the divorce court awarded his Japanese ex wife and her parents 100% custody and him nothing at all, not even visitation. He hasn't seen his kids in about five years.
My dad's friend came home from a hard day at work to an empty house and a note on the kitchen table from his wife saying she had taken the kids and wanted a divorce. He is not violent or anything, there was no need for her to do that. He bought her out of the family home for a fair price and paid a fair amount of child support, but her lawyer still tried to go after him and cheat him out of the house anyway. Lawyer almost won. Almost.
I'm still trying to figure out why some of these dad's that are multi millionaires pay 30-$50,000/mo (sometimes more) in child support. Why does it cost more to raise their child than someone making $40,000/yr? Require them to have health insurance, pay for a private school if that's what they want. Pay for extra-curricular interest, but pay it directly, not to the mother. Then they can give the mother 2-3,000/mo for child support.

Child support isn't supposed to be for the child, it's supposed to make the incomes of the parents more equal .... At least in on the laws of the state I'm in.
As I understand it, and I'm far from an expert on this topic, the law looks at child support as a contribution to the household income. Not as money to be spent exclusively on the child. The assumption is that the mother will put the care and maintenance of the child first and her needs second (yes, this far from always the case but that's how the law looks at it) and providing child support helps the mother provide that care and maintenance.
So, if she uses the money for a car payment, for example, well she drives the child where it needs to be using that care, to school, to medical appointments, to wherever and therefore the child is also benefiting.
The problem isn't that child support doesn't have to be used exclusively and directly for the child's benefit. The problem is that some women are just bad mothers.
The problem is there is no regulation on what the money is used for. It is not just people being bad parents. There are too many of them without child support for this to be true. Regulation to what it can be used for or its abolition as a whole is needed. Serious charges and prison time needs to be brought against people misusing child support like they do with food stamps or welfare.

I seen this happen so many times.... one of my Olds place himself on child support and so how made so she only get the minimum amount and she tried many times to raise it to help her self out but when he clothe and fed his child with no issue but refuse to just give her money so she can spend how she wants... not on the agreement that was court issued

My son was born in America. My son is from the rez (Native American). We went to the Navajo Nation together and I signed him up for free healthcare for life and free college. Tried to get a job out there but, there's no economy. I chopped wood and waited for people to buy.
I sensed that there was something going on. I went back up to Salt Lake City, Utah (where he was born) for work to provide for us. She ghosted me after a 3,600$ payment for a horse for my son. At least that's what I thought it was for.
It was for her wedding. Since my son is technically in a sovereign nation I have ZERO parental rights. If I bring my son back to where he was born it's Federal Kidnapping. Tribal law is so messed up. NEVER HAVE A KID WITH THE WRONG WOMAN!

I think it's different in every state. In my state it is legal for the mom to take 30% of the child support payment for anything she wants to. The problem is that even though it's law there is absolutely no regulation on it. My question is how did she take the clothes back and get money without a receipt? I don't know any place that will do that, it's exchange only without a receipt.

Court ordered child support should only be given with the stipulation that the parent getting that money (usually the mother, though not always) HAS TO PROVIDE RECEIPTS to prove it’s being spent ON THE CHILD it’s untended for. Not hair and nails and clubbing….

I grew up without ever getting a dollar of owed child support from my biological father. I don't have any kids of my own. I refuse to because of the way society as a whole is among other personal reasons. At this point I don't believe regulation will stop this. They will find a way to sell child support for other funds like they do food stamps and other government aid. No amount of rules and regulation matter if there is not a way to reasonably and constantly audit the transactions and ensure authenticity of these funds being directly consumed in one way or another by the child or children and not just a receipt for buying $100 dollars of random groceries in exchange for cash to do whatever with. TL;DR people will find a way to abuse the system or the money regardless of law and regulation. There is not a reasonable way to enforce the laws on this. As it exists now, states make too much money off of child support to care to fix it. I think it is time to do away with child support laws and requirements as they are now.

That’s not a thing. No court in the US has ever made a woman pay back misused child support money. The legitimate uses were widely expanded back in the 1980s. So now any use of child support money that benefits the mother is said to benefit the child by extension.

Yes yes yes...a child support card that can only be used for the child! It's called "child support", not "ex partner support". And, on top of the child support card, provide receipts to show where the child support went. Father's have to provide documentation, so should mother's. And I think Father's deserve to know where their child support is going/ how it's being used for the child.
