It’s called “Late failure” I googled it, I’m seeing case studies where men have had one seven years ago and ended up getting their wife pregnant. Happens to 1/2000 people apparently.

This is why I am not the least bit opposed to required paternity tests. I even say this as a retired nurse knowing that a fair percentage of men fail to follow up with their urologists after the first year following their vasectomy, which can lead to fertility returning. It would benefit them both to have a test in this case. Take away: Men, don't trust your vasectomy forever, trust your urologist and get your check-ups religiously!
We've all seen the uplifting videos of people who learn to walk again after an accident. Just remember that your sperm is as committed to solving its disability.

@@johndouglas1294 The problem with not requiring it is that you then allow women who have cheated to claim that they're offended by the very idea of a paternity test, and especially by the very idea of wsting money on one, and then we're right back to where we are now.
Think of it like the premarital blood test. It used to be so normalised that no one screamed that it was a wast of money testing for an STD when they were sure they were clean. It was just something you had to do.
@johndouglas1294 I'm not meaning necessarily required for everyone, because, yes, that can become a slippery slope. However, as a woman, I'm not opposed to mandatory testing if, say, the father and I split and I wanted anything through the courts. But even if it came to states saying prove he's the dad, go for it! I'm not here to make my husband's life harder.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: mandatory DNA paternity testing should be the standard and the norm before a presumed father signs a birth certificate. Case Closed...
I'm more of a "if requested, shall be granted at birth" not fond of the monitory part. Government is too involved anyways.

Not to defend the woman or the man I just wanna put this info out there. Vasectomies can reverse themselves especially given enough time. His first course of action should have been pregnancy test then visit his doc to see if he has had recanalization. Recanalization is where the vas deferens creates new pathways. She actually could be carrying his child.
There is that new foam like vasectomy blockage procedure. Basically, a temp foam that blocks up the vas deferens. I just don't recall the number of months or years the blockage lasts.
I had a vasectomy 12 years ago, haven't pulled out since 2012, if it could have, it would have, a few thousand times in... I am going thru a divorce, if a chick tries this with me, I would be in his shoes
