When your position in the argument is so weak that you have to literally yell over the opposition so that their argument can't be heard.

These people are trying to make a scientific argument against climate change? Why shouldn't they be able to do this? Is their right to free speech not as valuable as everyone else's?

Firstly, if you want to hear scientific info about climate change, look at any peer-reviewed climate science journal. You can access them using Google Scholar or at your local library/university. You'll find that climate change is real, and that it is caused by increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (i.e. human cause).
Of course these protesters are angry and shouting over people and making noise. It's because they have no other means to express their message. They don't have billions of dollars of money behind them. In this forum the parties with the most money are the loudest and the most-powerful, hence the fossil fuel companies are running the show

I'm not debating climate change. I'm debating the concept of yelling over people who disagree with you.

So it's ok to silence people with money, corruption and intimidation.. but it's not ok to protest? It didn't seem to me like they actually interrupted anyone's presentation.
Well if a pro-racism or neo-nazi conference was happening in my neighbourhood I wouldn't be surprised if an angry bunch of loud objectors turned up and made a lot of noise. I admit it's probably not the most tactful way to get a message across, but it's not surprising and not totally unwarranted. If they were trying to silence a minority I would be concerned but those people are supported by big business and hence they have more influence over the climate than the scientific community, the politicians or any related parties.

Climate change? I thought there was hope, the real issues are pollution, deforestation, animal habitat loss and withering natural resources such as clean water and damage to food systems from GM foods and crazy use of antibiotics in large scale food production. It's the weather it's always going to change, just like the universe it's a harsh world. Mother Nature can't be tamed. I expected the greedy corporations to use climate change fear as a tool. The real issues have to sorted using climate change is only hurting the issue. The problem is corporations are using countries with no environmental policies to save on money they would otherwise spend on controlling the processed waste. Until we get corporations out of local and geo politics they will continue to destroy our world for profit. We need to take back the control of governments back to the people from these corporations. The U.S., UN and EU is run by these crooks that bankrupt countries for their benefit.

Arrest these corporatists, jail them, nationalize their compagnies to help researching a way out of the environnement problems. That should naturaly eliminate the lobby problem and incentivise the ones who were not nationalized to take the good path.

    Environmentalist logic:
-Criticise climate change deniers as being anti-science and backwards.
-Criticise the one method of power generation that can reliably power the world with 0 CO2 emissions (nuclear power), even after its huge advantages have been scientifically proven.
    How very rational.

    • @FalloutConspiracy

He said "No it's called ... permanent debate." The activist is essentially implying that the Heartland Institute is not interested in looking at the facts as it relates to anthropogenic global warming. Preferring instead to obfuscate the truth by misinforming the public into believing that climate science is "up for debate." The Republican policy makers in Washington D.C who currently control the House of Representatives and Senate, and actually have the ability to address climate change in a meaningful way though the legislative process, are steady getting their information (talking points) from these fossil fuel industry funded clowns.
