Anna, I don’t set Advent knitting or crochet goals because I know life happens and I don’t want to feel like I failed. I just keep working on my current WIPs and enjoy time with my family.
Mach mal Pause und tu was Dir guttut. Judith
As someone who had migraines, about 15 days a month, for 30 years I understand that constant pain. You are amazing how much you get done while dealing with the pain! I think your Christmas pillow is beautiful and would try to finish it if possible but not if it causes stress. Sending wishes and prayers for a migraine free Christmas 🎄
I would definitely not stress about your knitting. That takes the fun out of it. You are so close to finishing your beautiful advent items. They will be done in due time. Merry Christmas!
Anna….I would knit on my unfinished blanket on Christmas Day while cozying up watching a Christmas movie with no pressure. It’s beautiful and you’ve motivated me to make one. It gives me joy just seeing it! 🥰
I may have decided that I don't enjoy advent projects because of the pressure. I'm participating in a mystery fair isle sock kal and won't likely finish if I don't keep up. I'm not enjoying much anymore. I hope I remember that next year when all the fun projects start popping up! I hope you're feeling better soon, and want to say an even bigger thank you for persevering through your pain! Merry Christmas--enjoy your vacation! (That's what we call it too😊)
Hope your migraine goes away soon. I can understand because my youngest daughter suffers from them and they are the worst! I enjoy all your episodes no matter what and that cute Benny is just so precious to watch!❤
Hello Anna, I found you and your Vlogmas just this month and I am enjoying it very much. Your knitting is beautiful, and I'm impressed at how much you work on and get done! Your baking and homemaking is inspiring. In terms of finishing your Christmas projects, I would finish the pillow. You will enjoy it this year and you'll be happy it's done. Then you can relax while working on other things and start something new. I hope your migraines resolve. Fröhliche Weihnacthen!
Thank you, Anna, for the lovely vlogmas, I too enjoy listening to discussions, such as you described with Jordan Peterson and Michaeal Knowles. Your Christmas pillow cover is beautiful. And I love watching the joy in your face and voice when you talk about gaming with your husband. Take care, and I hope you Migraine goes away today.
Anna, I’m sorry to hear about your migraines. I get them too and days can disappear quickly when they’re happening. It’s frustrating. Trying to play catch up is not possible without more frustration. Be kind to yourself. If you feel like cramming your pillow progress into the next few days, then do it. If not, it wasn’t meant to be. It’s beautiful and will be beautiful for many years to come! Merry Christmas 🙏🎄
❤💚🎄💚❤God wishes for you to work with joy peace and contentment in your heart mind body and soul. Rest sweet lady and enjoy the slow flow and blessings of the season. You are truly a blessing and joy to spend the season with. Praying for your migraines pain so you can thoroughly enjoy Christmas Holiday celebrations with your sweetheart. Lots of love to you ❤🕯️💜 your breads look and sound delicious
Hi Anna, relax! Don't put so much pressure on yourself. Your knitting is beautiful and it'll get done when the time is right. Just chill and enjoy the season! Love your Vlogmas and Benni is the cutest. :-)
Hello Anna, don’t stress yourself out with the cushion. In the great scheme of things, what’s the worst that would happen if you looked after yourself and don’t finish it? I always ask myself: will this matter a year from today. If the answer is No, then I take it easy 😊. Gute Besserung 🤕🤗 x
I think the cowl is a good January project too- sounds like you’d really like to finish your pillow cover. I would go for that! Hope your migraine subsides very soon! 🙏
I’m sorry, I’m not at all knowledgeable about games. I prefer crafts. I try not to stress out, but I totally understand that you want to be able to use your pillow on Christmas. I think if it was me, I would just work on the Christmas project, trying to relax as best you can. And the others can wait until after you finish it. And I hope the migraine goes away soon. It is very exhausting to have pain for days and days, I have joint pain all the time now and it makes me tired mentally and physically. BUT, God is still very good to me and I’m very grateful for my life!
I would not worry too much about the pillow cover. If you do not finish it this year, you can pull it out next November, and you will be excited about it again. It will become your first finished project of Advent 2024. My Advent knitting projects were few and small, and I will still have one sock unfinished. I'm going to start one last pair of Christmas socks while on a long plane trip Christmas Eve, and as long as I have them done by Epiphany, it still counts for Christmas ;) I'm very sorry your migraine is lasting so long, but as Advent is a season of preparation with prayer and fasting, your headaches are a beautiful gift wrapped present waiting for Jesus by his manger. I do pray you are able to sleep well. ❤
You may have tried this before, but I recently read in Epoch Times about taking a 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of salt in a glass of water for a headache. My husband also get migraines. Hope this dissipates for you soon. 🙏🏼
Oh Anna! I am so sorry for your migraine! Have you tried complex magnesium? It helps for some? In regards to your advent pillow...me I would plow through , but for you, I would extend grace and say, work on it as you can, you're almost finished and enjoy it! There are 12 days of Christmas! I hate how people take their tree down the day after Christmas! Plan for a New Years Eve cast on. Funny how things a re so exciting, until they are not! I pray you feel better!!❤
I have one advent item that I can't finish before Christmas, I don't make a problem of it. I will finish it between Christmas and New Year. My daughter plays (when she has time) for years now the game Final Fantasy
Anna, stop beating yourself up. The joy of knitting the advent pillow will deminish if you stress yourself over it, also the stress adds to the pain you are experiencing. So speaking from experience I would strongly suggest that you have a good soak in a warm bath with some lavendar oils, then take some time to do nothing except to sip a great cup of tea and then slowly pick up your pillow knitting, stopping after so many rows and stretch. remember Rome wasn't made in a day and the pillow cover will be finished before you know it. take care of yourself.
your cozy Christmas pillow will be beautiful. And next year Christmas will still be beautiful ;) Why would you stress yourself out by insisting on having it finished this Christmas, especially if you suffer from a migraine. Then you finish it and then what? Then you've been stressed and your migraine doesn't get any better, and do you enjoy it as much as taking it easy? I don't think so ;) I'm working on a cozy memory tablecloth of 28 blocks by 15 blocks and I would also like to have it finished this Christmas, but I can't make it either. Sorry then. Now I can start knitting while stressed to finish it as close to Christmas as possible, but then I don't enjoy the knitting process and I get stressed. So I adjust my goal because I find the knitting process and enjoying knitting more important than finishing something within a time limit. And if you let it go and continue to relax, you have a chance that you can still finish it on 2nd ChristmasDay. Because stress also slows down the process and actually slows it down, making it take even longer. People often set so many, if not too many, goals that it is simply not realistic and in fact you are causing yourself the stress in advance. You don't have to do anything, you can do anything. My motto for 2024 is: Slow down you move to fast. And enjoy everything you do. Merry Christmas
Where do you go to sign up for an Opal subscription? You have made it so appealing and fun and I’d love to try it this coming year. I live in the US, hopefully it’s possible for those of us who live here. I love your episodes…..thankyou!
Instead of stressing to get the pillow or cowl done "on the day" of Christmas, why dont you compromise and set your goal for finishing for the Epiphany on January 6? The epiphany is when the wisemen brought baby Jesus the gifts, so that day you can gift yourself the completed cowl or pillow. What do you think??
Anna, I don’t set Advent knitting or crochet goals because I know life happens and I don’t want to feel like I failed. I just keep working on my current WIPs and enjoy time with my family.

I'm a process knitter, so I never stress about advent projects. Remember you still have until January 6th. ❤💚

Do what you need for your pain. Not nice at all. No knitting stress for Advent/Christmas is my mantra.
Bless you.

Great approach to life!
I think finishing the pillow is more important than the cowl, since you can finish and wear that any time.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, and a very happy Christmas. Xx

Advent is a fun thing to do not a stress
You might like ICS publications- right now they are discussing St. Elizabeth of the Trinity. It’s a Carmelite you tube channel and it’s wonderful!

Anna do not be so hard on yourself. Migraines are very debilitating.
