Microsoft's 3rd part support denied the "SEND FROM ALIAS" feature but with your instructions it worked. Also, I had to wait for 3-4 hours after enabling this feature.
Made my day thank you!!!
Yeah, it is kind of a new feature and there is no much information about. I am glad it helped you. Thanks.
For those, like me, that need number 2, jump to 5:17. Thanks so much, Carlos! Very well explained.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks.
This is super helpful, it helped me to enable the sending from option, much appreciated, thank you

Thank you!!! I could only receive emails through the alias but couldn't send emails. After letting my boss do step 2, now the problem is solved!

Thank you Carlos... i turned it on and was thinking it is not working... i guess we young ones just cant wait for things to happen first :)
I am glad it helped you, thank you.
thank you! you saved my life
Glad to hear that! thank you!
Carlos, excellent video, very informative and clearly explained. In a future video, if possible, could you explain how to change the display name that the recipient sees, i.e. a different display name for the different aliases? Perhaps that functionality doesn't exist yet, but if it did I'm sure you would know.
Hello Neil, so far, I haven't been able to find an answer to your questions. Sending/replying from an alias is a relative new feature in MS 365. I guess MS is working on providing a solution to your questions. Let me me know if you find any answer to this, Thank you.
Great video. Very well explained. 👍👍
I am glad you liked it. Thank you!
I've said this before and it bares repeating some of the BEST M365 tutorials on the planet. Shhh . . . nobody tell him he should sell these tutorials. (BTW: Carlos do you have full courses besides your UA-cam playlist?"
Thank you very much for your comment, I really appreciate it. I am working on a "MS 365 for Administrators course" that hopefully be launching in April this year. Stay tuned. Thank you.
thank you very much for this halpful tuto
Glad it helped, thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! ;)
Thanks Carlos. Is there a way to send from other aliases I own, for which the domain hasn't been added to my Microsoft Business account yet? For example, in your example, you were able to create new aliases using your existing domains, but what if I already own other aliases hosted by GoDaddy for example attached to my other websites, for which the domains haven't been linked to Microsoft. Is there a way to add those so I can send from them as well? Thanks so much.
Hi Erik, no, it is not possible in Microsoft 365. You can only send from aliases that have been configured/verified in MS 365. Thank you.
thx for this explanation. But how can I make outlook to also choose this alias address when repyling to an e-mail which was sent to this alias address? So far outlook always uses the standard mail address instead of the correct alias address the mail was sent to. Having to manually choose the alias for every single reply to given aliases basically ruins the whole alias feature.. Is there a solution for that?
what I know is that you need to manually select where you want to reply from. thank you for your comment.
Hello Carlos,
I wanted to thank you for the helpful video you posted. I have a question regarding MS-365 Basic. Can a company create and use aliases with this version? I followed the steps you provided and created three aliases, but when I tried to send an email using one of the aliases from Outlook, I couldn't find any of the aliases under the "From" section. Although I received an email to all three aliases, I couldn't send an email using them. You mentioned it might take up to two hours. It is two days now.
Thank you so much for your help.
Hi Stephan, please make sure to follow the steps that are described in the minute 6:45 and 8:00 on the video. Thank you!
Thanks @Calos
Saludos.
Carlos, thanks for such a great video. I have Microsoft 365 Family and am trying to use your instructions. Do I need to upgrade to a business account? I can't even find an Admin Control panel in my account? If yes, can you tell me what is the lowest-level business account I would need? Thank you!
Hi, What I explained in the video is exclusive for MS 365 Business. You won't find that admin panel in MS 365 Family.
If you are interested just in the email service, then I can suggest a license called Exchange Online Plan1 (this one does not include OneDrive, Office apps, Sharepoint, etc). It is only the email service that you get when you have MS 365 Business. The other option is MS 365 Basic (this license does not have the Office apps on your desktop, only the online version of the Office apps).
Hope it helps. Thank you.
@@itwithcarlos I have MS 365 personal, can I add smtp email hence the alias as well into my outlook for example from my own company
Hi, just wanna ask, does this work for group alias as well?
uhmm, that is a good question. I haven't test it. Added to my list! thank you!
What is an efficient way to have an email recieved from to a new alias go to or be forwarded to multiple people?
If those multiple people need to reply as the alias/group/etc. then I suggest using a shared mailbox (no extra cost). Here is a video that explains shared mailboxes:

ua-cam.com/video/TsAKPTCwK3k/v-deo.html
Thank you.
Can I make an alias be my default email address when sending emails?
You can make an alias your primary email address or username. It will become your default email address when replying. Your original email address will become an alias. Thanks.
Notice that in Exchange admin there is also item "Mail flow" which is completely unrelated to this. You have to go to Settings > Mail Flow, which is a different screen that has the toggle on it. This is nuts.
This is correct, thank you!
Good info, but how to Send From on Outlook mobile App? I don't see such setting on the App.
Hey, you may need to enable the "send from alias" within alias on the web. Click on Settings>Mail>Compose and reply>Access the send from> and select the alias that you want to send email alias from. You may need to reset Outlook Mobile (I read this somewhere but I don't know exactly what this means)
I haven't test it but you can give it a try and let me know, thank you.
Is it possible to send from an alias using the desktop version of Outlook 365?
Oh yes, it is possible. It is explained in the minute 7:56 of the video. Thank you and a nice day!
@@itwithcarlos Thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately, I'm on the MAC desktop version of Outlook, and it doesn't look like it has that option.
❤
Thank you!
i am exactly following the instructions in this video but for some reason the sender email address is the primary one rather than the alias one.
You need to select what email address that you want to respond from when composing the message. The alias is not set by default as the sender. Thank you.
@@itwithcarlosyes, i am following the instructions same as shown in the video but when i am selecting the from email the alias does not reflect there
Bro is a genius. But tracking the email sent from Alias is still a problem.
Hi Muhammad, As far as I know, it is still not possible to change the display name of an alias. The recipient would need to check the sender email address to verify where the email is being sent. Hope it makes sense to your comment. Thank you.
The display name would remain the same. That would hurt!
The display name is only one, you can edit it but you can't have several display names for every alias.
Thank you!
