I knew that a period could be used and still have the same result, but didn’t realise I could just input that into sites and it would pick it up as a different address. This is genius, thank you! Such a simple, easy tutorial to follow.
You must not use UA-cam a lot. I learned to fly a plane on this platform before passing my test. Remodeled my house with it. YT is awesome for learning.
You have an EXCELLENT teaching style. You are easy to understand, speak in a very clear voice, always explaining from the perspective of the novice. OMG and when you mentioned using "googlemail" as a substitute for "gmail", I said out loud, "really?". You paused perfectly long enough for me to say that, and then you said, "Yes, really" as if to answer me. I couldn't stop laughing. Bravo.
Kinda surprised this surprised anyone! I literally figured this was the case before I ever heard about it anywhere, and tested it out. It's obvious that G stands for Google, so it was pretty obvious that Google would work as well as G.
It's a shame that plus addressing doesn't work on multiple sites, because the characters you're allowed to enter into the email address field when registering or signing up for things are usually parsed for security reasons and thus don't allow any special characters like the plus + character or < > etc, to stop code injection. In other words if your entered address doesn't match the standard format of 0-9, a-Z @ recognized mail server, it won't let you register.
You are the best person ever I was trying to make a new account for a service and it said my email wasn’t available and I did the plus trick it worked right away thank you!
Wow Tasia, you are a wizard and how, you have all the knowledge and skills and you teach like you invented it ! Inspiring and motivating , well done. Some day all teachers will be like this !
Oh wow!!! I had been looking for something like this for a long time to incorporate into my daily course of doing business. This is amazing! Exactly whatI needed. Thank you, thank you, Thank you!!!!
This is the only thing that I was able to come up with@@779hollywood... Although you're not going to reduce the amount of email or spam that you'll receive in your regular inbox... You could however, use the modified alias to create a filter in your inbox that would automatically put all emails sent to your alternate address in a sub 📂 folder to reduce clutter in your main inbox.
Explanation is nice . It works ( I mean "+") , but I can not get the benefits of this as e-mails are coming to the same inbox and filter must to be applied.
My exact sentiments@@vassarian! Can anyone explain to me why this is so revolutionary to their operations when your inbox still gets flooded with spam? I suppose the one possible scenario would be to filter all emails with a 'plus' or 'period' in the address so that emails sent to your alternate already can easily be automatically separated after receiving.
@@LandonShipman-iDzynes Exactly. I have been using 2 mail accounts for a long time now and im at a point where only one mail gets all the mails and there is no use for the first one. And dont get me started on syncing and logging into websites using mail. It gets super confusing. So yeah, im gonna only use 2 specific random words after the plus, and filter it by that, for my professional and un professional account.
You are terrific, excellent teacher, Intelligent and straight forward. I salute to you. Now I need to know how to separate my new email account in my inbox .
great simple explanation - thanks! you might want to "bullet point" each technique as you go thru them. finally, is there a video on how to setup gmail filters using these +addresses? To me, that's where the real power in these +addresses lies!
I think a big part of the answer could come down to: being able to organize better, by tracking all entities that you've entered the "new" email address into. Then whenever you see this "new" email replied to in your inbox...you know its origin (unless of course, when receiving the new email back, it shows up as your original email; but I don't think it does.)
I created another email address in my Google account as you explained in your video and now my old email address is used as a recovery email. I lost all my contacts that were linked to my old account as well as my tasks and appointments in my google calendar. Now, can you make a video explaining how to reverse this?
Hi Tasia. I was wondering if you could do a wee video illustrating how we could set up a couple of email addresses (with different domains) representing two different businesses from the same account. From here we choose which business we write from and receive email to. I couldn't find that in your huge array of Gmail tips. I'm going bonkers trying to sort this. Anyway; that'd be great. Cheers.
You probably just kept my hopes alive for my dreams of my own home business. This is the solution that I was absolutely searching for with having multiple email addresses. Thank you so much for doing this video. You're definitely a godsend. May God Jesus bless you always. 😊
Appreciate the tips. However, what if I no longer want to use that "+" email name, nor to I want to receive any more emails from that "account" - what do I do then? Is this technique only useful as a sorting utility for receiving emails?
Please help me understand... Whats the reason for creating multiple addresses if they all come to the same inbox? Why or when would you need this feature?
You can use each one to registering in different sites, then, when you start receiving emails to a specific address that have nothing to do with the original site, you will know how sold out the user database.
I asked the exact same question and got no response. I just do not see the benefit. It would seem if you are trying to separate or sort who you send to and who responds, using a unique "subject" line would be much easier to figure out thn looking at my own multiple email addresses.
This is interesting but what good is it? When I sent an email from one of my current addresses to my regular address with the plus name added and then I hit reply back to my secondary email address it came back as my regular email and name. I say again, what is the point?
Thanks for the easy and understandable technics. it may be silly to ask, but can you explain what is the point of changing your email addresses when the original address still can be seen by others? Please let me know the benefit of it.
This + technique can be used for filtering. Apply filters to different To addresses and you can put all emails from one or multiple services under one label. Unfortunately Google didn't invent custom folders yet. Maybe at the beginning of 2100s.
Hi Tasia, Great tutorial thanks, I want to use this technique for our Rodeo Committee, here in Stanthorpe, Queensland, at the moment we have one email and domain name for the secretary, treasurer, president and promotions who are all using the same inbox, such a mess, so hard to find emails. Can I direct each new email address to their own inbox? Cheers Duncan
I always try to give people a sandwich or burger or quesadilla or whatever you want to call it. Would be cool to make these comments into a haiku, just thought of that. Your enthusiasm is great Though its still a bit intense Love that the whole thing is straight to the point
Thanks for your content! What I am most annoyed with is buying an item online and then all these retail and other sites using my email to send me numerous emails into my main inbox. Is there a way to not have these types of emails land in my inbox by forward addressing? It seems they still then land in your inbox
You helped me in 5m when i spent an hour looking at gmail settings like an idiot. Thank you, and btw you are very very pretty, i love the color of your eyes, I envy you
Thanks so much for sharing! I was looking for a way to use multiple emails without having to give out my phone number and well this method works like a charm!! Great video and very informative and useful knowledge!!
You got to finish the job, Tasia. How to direct emails from the additional new Gmail address. How even to get to it. Sorry, it is NOT trivial, I am sure need your tutorial about it. And when you do it, we get it. Thank you.
WOW! You "experts" make life very confusing. I just want to add an email address to keep track of conversations regarding my RV travels. I just want to bring my Contacts from my existing gmail to my new one. Simple as that! Why is this so difficult?
Because this is not that. You can link another email address then use filters to help keep it all organized if you want. Thanks for calling me an expert though and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Hey hey hey..... i can't see where to add the accounts? She just gave examples on ither websites and did not tell where to add those all email addresses on your gmail settings
Hey friends! Who has used this technique in Gmail? Comment below!
@Revil Curse cool eh?
Hi tasia ,how to create email template for gmail using react js
I don’t see what the purpose is though.

Very rarely have I come away from a UA-cam video thinking, "I really have learnt something usefully new there". This one's an exception, Tasia xxx
That just means you’ve never searched for learning stuff. Your algorithm thinks you are not interested in learning.

Clearer instructions and answers to anticipated questions, then from Google. Thanks!

This is great! Now, I can spread personal information across multiple gmail addresses instead of just one. Thank you Mr. Obvious. You're a life saver.
Why would you do this? Process is very clear. Purpose... I'm missing the link.. examples appreciated.

Tasia, I'm learning more from you than other "experts". A few others are good though (I won't name them). :) You simplify things. Thank you.
Aw, so glad the content is helpful!
Hi Tasia, is this trick to be able to filter the different email addresses? or what's the value of creating different email addresses? Thanks!
I'd like to know the same thing. Unfortunately, my question hasn't been answered.

Hey great video, just one question. Other than having an infinite number of free netflix subscriptions, what else is this useful for?
That's what I want to know?
Works a treat, Great for signing up to cashback sites. Thank you.
I just implemented the technique and it worked like a charm. You lifted years of frustration off my shoulders. Thank you
Fantastic! So glad to hear it!
This is good info. I am looking for something more isolated from my main address. I'll keep searching.

So glad you found the video helpful! ❤️
Very good explanation but I am looking for instructions necessary to create a distinct new email address
so what are the benefits, after they lend in your inbox, how do you filter to spam or something down the road?
I did not use this technique before. I will use this. Once again I thankful to you friend.
One of the most brilliant explanations I've ever seen! Thank you, Tasia!
Tasia it really help me, true no lie, this actually work, thank you a 1,000 times ❤
Talk about informative I love I'm looking forward to watch more unusual information
Many Thanks, you made it look so easy, saved me many minutes of tedious reading - seeing is believing.

Thank you so much, Jamie! I appreciate you :) Glad I could help! 🤗
this was a big help! thanks!

This came up in my algorithms. Clear, concise instructions with essential graphics. Subscribed.
Nice to see a smart Habs fan. 2024/25 is our year!!! :). and thanks for the Alias info.
You gained me as a subscriber. That's value right there !

I've used it ..the plus technique, and it has been extremely helpful... thanks a lot, you're awesome 💯
I was aware of this before. I kept listening because you did such a great job of explaining it. Nice work
Thank you Tasia! The information you provided was extremely helpful!
Wow i always thought i can put a plus and thats all i can do 1 plus email with same gmail but we can make a million thank you so much!!
This was totally new to me, This is a total masterpiece 👌👌

BRILLIANT!! Thank you so much for creating this video. I plan to binge on the others you have listed. Great help!! Thank you!!
You just solved my number one question of how do I create several Gmail accounts for my possible future business thank you so much. 😊
THANK YOU! I can game forever now.
Very useful! Thanks❤
Such precious content Tasia!! This Gmail hidden feature is just amazing. Tks for sharing
You’re so welcome. Glad you liked it!
Thank you for doing this video. You did a good job of keeping everything very clear all the way through!
Can you create additional email addresses with different local part in your Google account or do you have to create a new Google account?
I would like to know thus too
Only UA-cam that talks without robot voice and makes sense
Well, Tasia, it does indeed work, but can you also organize all those sub-addresses separately in your Gmail?
This is interesting but what good is it? When I sent an email from one of my current addresses to my regular address with the plus name added and then I hit reply back to my secondary email address it came back as my regular email and name. I say again, what is the point?
I agree, there is no benefit to this method. Cool feature but what is the purpose?
I wish I knew because most people in the comments are so happy about it@@brianh.3468
Thank you. Easy and straightforward. Plus method it is...
Very helpful.

Thanks for the easy and understandable technics. it may be silly to ask, but can you explain what is the point of changing your email addresses when the original address still can be seen by others? Please let me know the benefit of it.
Most people simply click 'Reply', and this will use the modified email address, so that you can search or add labels to help organise your inbox.

Hi, pardon my ignorance. What is the use of creating such mails? Any specific use?
