"Who is this guy?". Well, he would be the best guitarist to ever walk on Earth. Facts. "Windows to the Soul" is my favorite Vai song. Give it a try (no live video worth anything unfortunately).
Vai often doe that where he'll find various musicians with expertise in whatever instrument they play and bring em on board to really spice things up! He's Awesome!!!!
Steve Vai is just an incredible talent, i saw him in Sheffield (UK) with Satriani, and they just rocked the place, this video is just another example of Steve's phenomenal musicianship
I remember an interview with one of the band members, where this female violinist Ann Marie Calhoun said that she had to work hard in order to learn to play the violin like a guitar. Obviously Steve teached her pretty well. :)
Steve Vai was taught to play by the one and only Joe Satriani, and since his early years as a guitarist he has shown the world that his talent is undeniable. Very nice Stuff Steve 👏🇦🇺👑
Epic,So Good. This is the song I had another reaction channel do, it was a hard choice but I finally decided on this one, lol.Sorry I didn't use your channel, but I love your channel, please don't be mad,lol
I saw this tour. The female violinist Ann Marie Calhoun , she was married to Brian Calhoun at the time who is a guitar builder in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. She is now married to Mike Eingzer the guitarist in Incubus. She is playing an acoustic violin & the other violinist is a French musician who's name i can't remember but he is playing an electric violin. Kinda like she is playing an acoustic guitar & he is playing an electric guitar. Steve taught them the parts he wanted them to play so they could seamlessly go from one player to another with a smooth flow. Steve can transcribe and write music notation for most instruments by ear which is how he got hired by Frank Zappa. He listened to and transcribed all of Zappas music for all instruments. An impressive feat cause Zappa liked to use odd time divisions that weren't used by many bands at the time. The cool part was that the 2 violins had very different tones so when you listen you can tell which violin player is playing.
Is this guy real is he the guitar Elvis he is so smooth my God🤯I get to see you both react to it what a treat your the best at what you do your personalities are priceless thank you beautiful people🔥😁
That guitar Steve is playing is the 20th anniversary Ibanez Jem (his signature) and the body of the guitar is all acrylic with a built in green LED light in the body.
The colourZ of the guitar ! How they are ! Eh... the playing better ! Great show over there and the interactions connections by various musicans are pretty amazing !! The drumming percussionism give me chills ! More complex than the video enlight ! Correct to say no ?
I was told there's some "Killer Violence" in this Video............ (I Think I Misunderstood what they Said!!!) I'm Glad!!! A "Flying-V" Violin??? Awesome!!!
You know Halo? Halo 2? Yeah it was his guitar in the theme. Even better? It was the first take and he riffed on the spot. Absolute legend with a guitar.
No reactors ever react to Joe Satriani......please react to "Surfing With the Alien " Another EPIC guitarist, not as flashy or animated as Vai, but phenomenally talented. He taught Kirk Hammet of Metallica
Y'all have to check out Tracy Bonham. Her hot song was "Mother Mother" from the album The Burdens of Being Upright. She kills it on the violin and sings beautifully. "Mother Mother" is truly a banger, as they say.
Kenny here love you guys love your Channel Steve Vai is god-like when it comes to guitar and please listen to Dream Theater lifting Shadows off a Dream Live at the Boston Opera House
I don't know what do you mean by ' he is sounding like a rockstar'. He is one of the greatest guitarist of all time. He won 3 grammys and was nominated 15 times.
She has also played with Yanni and recorded violin for Hans Zimmer. . The crazy gypsy violinist has . . .That is her on the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack. She has a unique background. Trained both bluegrass fiddle and classical. Yet another true virtuoso sharing the stage w/ Vai
Ok. . The real kicker many don’t realize. . I’m a drummer. . Was working on figure out the time sig. . . . For some reason 13/8 seemed right but kept getting off true time. . . Was the band shifting? . . . No. . Looked up the sheet music. OMG These people are crazy soloing freely in. . . Wait for it: 25/16. What da +*;+#&*&+#*.? not so hard really if you feel it as 5/8 3/16 6/8.
I`d like to recommend another song but covered by a 17 year old French girl who nailed it even better than Steve Vai: "For the Love of God" covered by Tina S. 🤘
somebody explain to me this? we watch some poeple watch a video? mmkey, seems to me like they have no clue of what or who exactly they are listening to
Hey not to be a mood killer here, or take anything from Stevie , but ERUPTION , EDDIE VAN HALEN, wastes anything from any other guitar player period!!!
"Who is this guy?". Well, he would be the best guitarist to ever walk on Earth. Facts. "Windows to the Soul" is my favorite Vai song. Give it a try (no live video worth anything unfortunately).

Steve Vai with 2 cellos is amazing
Songs like this really highlight that Vai got his start playing with Frank Zappa.
There is so much Zappa influence in this song and performance.
Omg!! I have missed u guys ❤️ I got the news that i have stomach cancer yesterday.. I love you, and i love Stevie aka The Alien 🙌🏼😉🥰😍
❤🙏
You check out his guitar solo while he played with Whitesnake. It's intense. You get to see him go off. This is controlled, the solo is pure chaos.

Steve still got Zappa genes in his body!
Y'all have to check out Tracy Bonham. Her hot song was "Mother Mother" from the album The Burdens of Being Upright. She kills it on the violin and sings beautifully. "Mother Mother" is truly a banger, as they say.

FUN FACT...The guitar is acrylic, has lights in it, and is apparently real HEAVY lol...Chick is on Violin, Dude is on a Fiddle
Nobody plays a solo like this guy
He played for Zappa. Put that on your resume.
You should probably watch Lotus Feet by Steve Vai. I wanna see a reaction video of that please.
My favorite fun fact about this backing band is that Steve Vai basically stole the woman violinist from Jethro Tull and they never really forgave him
Hey there! If you didn't see this one yet, I suggest you "Building The Church"...Yep by Steve Vai ^_^
Try all about eve, live acoustic, steves the man, period !!

I just learned recently that the female violinist is married to the guitarist from Incubus.

I`d like to recommend another song but covered by a 17 year old French girl who nailed it even better than Steve Vai: "For the Love of God" covered by Tina S. 🤘
